JDfor the Linux systemadmin:
Install monitor and maintain the main servers systems andapplications for LinuxSystems.
Red Hat Certified SystemAdministrator
Provide a reliable operating systems environment in order that theapplications meet the required servicelevels.
Monitor assigned main systems operating systems and applicationperformance sizing andutilization.

Provide automated and documented scripts for backup and retentionof data on external storage within the backup and retention policyof each mainsystem.

Ensure timely resolution of operating systems and applicationfailures on mainsystems.

Possess in depth technical knowledge in operating systems ofassigned main servers to provide a convenient platform for systemsdelivery understanding the network and systems architecture toresolve any business disruption or inconvenience to the users thatmay critically impact theGroup.

Understand assigned systems internals architecture and limitationsin deciding on methods of problem solving which may impact overallresource availability and time to deliver changes.

Perform carefulanalysis to ensure congruence with the Group s long term planningand approvedstrategy.

Be aware of systems security in application and system software toimplement and monitor policy and ensure full protection of softwareand data from unauthorized access or disruption ofservices.
