    R&D Engineer Senior

    You will be working as R&D Engineer Senior at global grade 13 and will be part of Electrification Business Area for Distribution Solutions Division based in Bangalore, India. In this role you will be reporting to R&D Team Lead and you will be responsible for contributing to ABB's success with technology, software, product or system development. Identifying and implementing innovative solutions to relevant problems. Providing ideas and is able to work both independently and as a part of a Research & Development (R&D) team.

    Your responsibilities

    • Creating, operating and maintaining the cloud infrastructure that would be developed in AWS using its in built modules and frameworks for our cloud solutions for Electrification Distribution Solution Division of ABB
    • Handling various deployed cloud modules, solutions, analytics models performance, data flow, field alarm, event and notification management, various cyber security aspects etc at our customer site using various operation performance parameter indicators
    • Maintaining the cloud control tower, landing zone, subscription management and associated usage cost management. Being the single point contact for our globally located digital system center's (DSC's) helping to solve and maintain their deployed cloud solutions smooth operation at their customer sites
    • Experience with serverless and microservices based container architectures. Having worked in a DevSecOps team
    • Experience with Cloud applications infrastructure and design, in particular: IoT, Data Lakes and knowledge of front-end technologies, cyber security etc

    Your background

    • Bachelor's degree or masters degree in engineering
    • Minimum 7 to 10 years of experience in programming, debugging skills using at least any one of it python or typescript or java script or C#.NET core
    • Minimum 3+ years of hands-on experience in AWS cloud platform as an infrastructure engineer (devsecops) in serverless solutions with AWS SysOps Administrator – Associate or DevOps Engineer – Professional certification
    • Strong understanding of serverless and microservices based container architectures, design patterns with experience in cloud infrastructure, ETL, big data management and maintenance and expertise in cloud deployed solutions smooth operations
    • Experience with SQL or NoSQL databases with basic agile work experience in CI/CD using DevOps and devsecops
    • Result oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Eagerness to learn new technical concepts. Excellent team player. Strong interpersonal and communication skills
    • Strong Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with minimal direction, supervision to achieve the target
