    Function Owner Manager – Body E/E Product Development

    Mercedes-Benz Research and Development, India is seeking Function owner manager with a strong technical background in product development of Electronic Control Units.

    Roles and Responsibilities:

    · Development and series support for EE components for Mercedes Benz cars which fulfil the legal regulations and production demands, the objectives from the project, Carline, and module strategy, regarding function, quality, weight and costs.

    · Creation and possibly updating the requirements specification for components, integration of safety requirements; creation of contributions for concept specification and vehicle specification

    · Creation, control, and maintenance of a schedule (with component and software release versions)

    · Keep all Features on track regarding to their release contributions based on the feature rollout plans (on system and software level)

    · Run a risk board regarding all sub-projects including coordination of mitigation plans.

    · Derivation of release schedules for each release and leading all participants through the process (creation of use cases, PI workshops, prioritization & estimation of implementations)

    · Prioritization of implementations

    · Consulting in creation of feature rollout plans for each feature of the CEIC (Central Exterior- & Interior Controller)

    · Coordination with the E/E system partners about the system parts in the components

    · Technical leadership of features

    · Sustain regular communication to all features and domains (System and Software Development)

    · KPIs are generated regularly and available for all project members and management.

    · To ensure documentation of the progress in development in the RD systems

    · Assistance in the module strategy and in the module group

    · Participation and providing information for concept tests in E/E (design reviews and B sample tests)

    · Assistance in complete supplier management (in-house parts and purchased parts, including support for EVS for localized ranges)

    · Coordinating the development process with the supplier

    · Handing over the requirements specification to the supplier for every release

    · Creation and coordination of change requests for changes in components

    · Coordination of defect management for the ECU

    · Reports in the carline committees/stakeholders about feature-specific topics.

    · Release of the features (if applicable, with prerequisite of a separate Hardware- and Software-release)

    Skills:

    · Has strong automotive domain knowledge - especially in automotive electronics

    · Autosar, ASPICE, Agile methodology

    · Is self-motivated and able to mentor/guide a team of engineers.

    · Has strong inter-personal skills with good communication

    · Has good experience working with global teams and has a good understanding of OEM/Tier-1 development models.

    · Has proven ability of problem-solving and is able to motivate the team towards problem solving.

    · Has a good understanding of the development processes in the automotive OEMs/ Tier-1s.

    · Good understanding of Automotive – Body electronics/Powertrain/Safety systems, ECU (Electronic Control units), SW architecture and ECU functional testing.

    · Is able to appreciate and embody core values, integrity and professionalism in day-to-day operations.

    Qualification:

    · B.E/M. Tech (full-time) from reputed institutions with specialization in Electrical & Electronics / Electronics & Communication / Mechatronics / Instrumentation.

    · 7- years of experience in automotive electronics product development.

    · Agile certification – Product owner

    Bachelors in Electronics / Electrical / Mechatronics / Embedded systems / Instrumentation engineering
