    Description

    Overview:

    The DataEngineer plays a crucial role in the organizations datainfrastructure responsible for developing constructing testing andmaintaining architectures such as databases and largescaleprocessing systems. They work closely with data scientists andanalysts to understand their information needs and then designbuild and manage data from raw data to useful datasystems.

    KeyResponsibilities:

    • Design constructinstall test and maintain highly scalable data managementsystems.
    • Develop and maintain ETL processes fordata integration and migration.
    • Create andmaintain optimal data pipelinearchitecture.
    • Identify design and implementinternal process improvements automating manual processes andoptimizing data delivery.
    • Build theinfrastructure required for optimal extraction transformation andloading of data from a wide variety of data sources using SQL andbig data technologies.
    • Collaborate with datascience team to design missioncritical datamodels.
    • Optimize and secure the organizationsdata infrastructure.
    • Troubleshoot complex dataissues and perform root causeanalysis.
    • Proactively identify and addressperformance bottlenecks.
    • Document andcommunicate standard methods and best practices for dataengineering.
    • Participate in an oncall rotationto support critical data infrastructure.
    • Ensurecompliance and adherence to data management and securitystandards.
    • Stay current with advancements andchanges in data engineeringtechnologies.
    • Effectively prioritize andexecute tasks in a highpressureenvironment.

    RequiredQualifications:

    • Bachelors degree inComputer Science Information Technology or relatedfield.
    • Proven work experience as a DataEngineer or similar role.
    • Indepth understandingof database management systems ETL framework and big datatechnologies.
    • Proficiency in Python SQL andother programming languages.
    • Experience withdata modeling data warehousing and building ETLpipelines.
    • Handson experience working withcloud services such as AWS.
    • Familiarity withdistributed computing and parallelprocessing.
    • Experience with big data tools suchas Apache Spark Hadoop etc.
    • Strong analyticaland problemsolving skills.
    • Ability to work in afastpaced collaborative and agileenvironment.
    • Excellent communication andinterpersonal skills.
    • Detailoriented withstrong organizational skills.
    • Ability to thrivein a dynamic and rapidly changingenvironment.
    • Certifications in relevanttechnologies is a plus.
