    Job Description :

    This role requires strong On Premise and Azure SQL PaaS ( DB+ MI ) knowledge

    Overall Experience : 8 Yrs ( On Premise - 5-7 Yrs & Azure SQL PaaS ( DB + MI )

    Candidate should be ready to work in 24/7 environment and Initial 6 - 8 months - Complete night shift

    Installed SQL Server 2005/2008/2008R2/2012/2014/2016/2017 on a new 32-bit and x64-bit Operating System.

    - Experience in Migrating from SQL Server 2008 to SQL Server 2012 and from SQL Server 2012 to SQL Server 2014/2016.

    - Experience in upgrading SQL server software to new versions and applying service packs and patches.

    - Proficient with SQL Management Studio, Enterprise Manager, Query Analyzer, rescheduling jobs with SQL Server.

    - Creating DB Maintenance plans, rebuild/reorganize indexes & performing integrity checks.

    - Highly proficient in database Backup, Restore, Recovery, Linked servers, and Database Maintenance Plans.

    - Experience with High Availability and Disaster Recoveries like Replication, Log Shipping, Mirroring, and Clustering.

    - Proficient in implementing different types of Replication Models like Snapshot, Transactional, and Merge.

    - Experience in Implementing Always on in SQL Server 2012, 2014, 2016 and 2017.

    - Experience in Implementing Database Mirroring in SQL server 2005/2008/2008R2.

    - Involved in Installing, Configuring, and Maintaining of Cluster in SQL Server 2008R2 and SQL Server 2012 in Active/Passive.

    - Auditing database configuration and security configurations.

    - Actively involved in System Performance by tuning SQL queries and stored procedures by using SQL Profiler, Database Engine Tuning Advisor, Windows performance monitor, DMVs, Resource Governor, Data collection Reports, crystal reports, DBCC and Custom Script, Built-in performance Report and Activity Monitor.

    - Experience with Database Backup and Restore.

    Role :

    Responsible for maintaining existing databases with high-availability solutions, replication, backup, restore, encryption, and disaster recovery solutions.

    - Configure & Monitor Performance/Storage/Memory alerts on all Production Azure Servers to ensure high availability of data

    - Strong database migration experience.

    - Expertise and experience monitoring Azure workspaces, VM's, VM drives, Memory etc.

    - Expertise and experience creating MS Visio diagrams as they relate to MS SQL and database design

    - Ensuring all hardware and software are updated.

    - Assist to define data retention policies and automation.

    - Estimating storage cost and defining data storage strategies.

    - Work with the Quality Assurance Team on issue reporting, resolution, and change control.

    - Support and Troubleshooting - Assist Operations Team with any environment issues during application deployment across Development, QA, Staging, and Production environments.

    - No Coding involved / No development involved

    Work Schedule :

    - Work mode : 24/7, Hybrid and ready to work 5 days from office based on project requirements from December 2023 Core/Must have skills :

    Experience in support projects and handling customers and feedback : Should be able to take the lead role in 3-5 months and ready to lead 8-15 people team on L1/L2/L3 issues ( Combination of Technical Advisors, SMEs, Support engineers )
