    What's the Role:
    You will maintain the local and overseas purchasing function from external and internal sources, to lower the cost and improve the value of the total supply chain. You will provide effective and efficient purchasing and supply services for the foundry by taking requisitions from departmental users and processing their purchasing/supply requirements, maintaining vendor prices and vendor particulars.

    With excellent attention to detail, you will ensure the accuracy and integrity of import, export and cross-trade and purchasing documentation following external authority requirements, which includes the implementation of standardized key control processes.

    You will have good communication and coordination skills and liaise with suppliers/freight team to ensure the efficiency of process and clarity and timeliness of communications throughout the year and provide feedback to stakeholders on shipping movements.

    You have great attention to detail and will have the ability to read, maintain the documentation for existing suppliers, understand, process, and verify contracts of suppliers to create accurate Purchase Orders. You will advise procurement when new vendors are required to be established.

    With your Collaborative work style, you will work closely with the greater team to confirm or change orders, order tracking, and expedite. You will ensure timely, accurate, and effective processing of purchase orders to ensure timely and accurate fulfilment.

    Overall, you will follow the timelines, work on minimization of the stock of indirect supplies, and ensure processing and tracking of vendors to meet Bradken's needs.

    As a Key Technical Criteria

  • Tertiary qualifications in Accounting/Material Management or Logistics Course or equivalent
  • Understanding of Purchasing and procurement regulations.
  • Proven supervisory experience in an industrial environment.
  • Experience required in logistics, export and import.
