    About the Role :


    We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Lead Analytics Specialist - Data Scientist (AVP) to join our growing team.

    In this role, you will play a pivotal role in leading and mentoring junior analysts, driving data-driven decision making, and spearheading innovative analytical solutions across the organization.

    You will be responsible for the entire data science lifecycle, from data acquisition and wrangling to model development, deployment, and communication of insights.


    Responsibilities :

    Team Leadership & Development :

    • Guide and mentor junior team members in data collection techniques from various sources (databases, spreadsheets, external platforms).
    • Foster a culture of continuous learning by identifying recurring use cases and developing automated solutions for selfservice Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and insights generation.
    • Take ownership of skill development within the team through training programs, process definition, and research of new tools and techniques.
    Mentor analysts in effectively delivering projects, incubate new ideas, and guide them in implementing machine learning techniques.


    Data Management & Collaboration :

    • Collaborate closely with Business, Product, Data Engineering, and Tech teams to ensure data accuracy through continuous feedback and improvement of data collection instrumentation.
    • Set high standards for project management, own project scope and timelines for the team.

    Advanced Analytics & Problem Solving :

    • Utilize strong problem-solving skills to independently scope, deconstruct, and develop data-driven solutions with an "outside-in" perspective.
    • Build and deploy advanced analytical models using machine learning techniques.
    • Showcase impactful data insights through compelling presentations and reports to negotiate and influence stakeholders on project prioritization, scope, methodology, and timelines.

    Qualifications :

    • Master's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
    • Minimum 5+ years of experience in a Lead Analytics Specialist or Data Scientist role.
    • Proven experience in leading and mentoring junior data analysts.
    • Strong proficiency in SQL, Python (including libraries like pandas, scikitlearn, etc.), and other relevant data science tools and technologies.
    • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) is a plus.
    • Excellent communication, presentation, and collaboration skills.
    • Strong analytical and problemsolving skills with the ability to think critically and independently.
    • Ability to translate complex data insights into clear and actionable recommendations for business stakeholders.
