    As a Senior Data Steward, you are Responsible for managing transactional and reference critical data that is created or used by data and analytics COE in Commercial Analytics Operations. you will support data governance and data quality initiatives within one of our key business functions, with an initial focus on our critical customer, contact, and product master data domains. You will collaborate with data consumers, data creators, and the central Data & Model Governance team to diagnose root causes and drive measurable data improvements.

    Responsibilities for data steward


    • Responsible for gathering business and technical requirements from Data consumer on data requirements (specific details - complete, timeliness and accuracy specifications) to capture metadata and lineage working with Business and Technical SMEs


    • Thorough analysis to provide ownership of the Data issues and get the issues resolved. Design the KPIs to use.


    • Establishing access rights and security levels for data elements to ensure data privacy and confidentiality.


    • Collaborate with data consumers, data creators, and the central Data & Model governance team and Data Domain Owners (GBEs) to identify and define appropriate business rules.


    • Improve data gathering & communication effectiveness.


    • Support network of SBG/GBE Data Stewards to drive understanding of master data systems and work processes.


    • Define, administer, document, and educate on data systems, standards, and work processes.


    • Designing Metamodel and Relations between information assets.


    • Develop a roadmap for the implementation of Data Steward activities in different departments. Guiding the development team by providing requirements and helping them with roadblocks.


    • Enhance work process designs, rule sets, and make recommendations for improvement.


    • Facilitate change management, issue management, and approval processes.


    • Understanding of the regulatory environment and potential future issues/risks


    • Roll out of DIAC (define, assess, improve, control) views of existing data.


    • Ownership of data related policies


    • Upward communication to relevant forums where necessary

    Qualifications for Sr. Data Steward


    • 8-10 years of experience dealing directly with large scale data management required.


    • Salesforce data management and SAP Sales and Distribution (SD) Module experience a plus


    • Integrate into the SBG and assess readiness, develop plans for quick hits, and partner with the COE to develop a long-term opportunity for a robust data governance capability.


    • Demonstrates ability to think both strategically and tactically


    •


    • 7+ years' experience in Digital, Data, Analysis, and /or Technology roles


    • Expertise in data quality management. 4+ years of practical experience with CollibraTM data Intelligence Platform.


    • Practical experience working within a data ethics/governance framework.


    • Process analysis skills, with the ability to translate business issues and requirements into actionable plans.


    • Thorough understanding of data and systems infrastructures


    • Technical skills in exploring, analyzing, profiling, and manipulating data sets (e.g. SQL, Python, Alteryx...)
