    Business information ​:

    The Hitachi Energy Indian Operations Center (INOPC) is a competence center with around 2300 skilled engineers who focus on tendering, engineering, planning, procurement, project Management, functional system testing, installation supervision, documentation and commissioning. However, over the last decade, it has evolved to become the largest Operations hub. The India Operations Centre team at Chennai, Bangalore and Gurugram supports Hitachi Energy's units in more than 40 countries across a wide portfolio of all the four business units in Hitachi Energy To date, the team has executed engineering and commissioning for projects in more than 80 countries.

    Mission Statement ​:

    You will be in charge of the management of system delivery projects in FACTS (Flexible Alternating Current Transmission Systems) technology, including technical and commercial responsibilities.

    Your Responsibilities:

  • You will be holding the overall responsibility for the management of assigned multimillion-dollar projects.
  • You will Work together with other Hitachi Energy Power Grids units, either as a consortium or main supplier, that you will represent.
  • You will be responsible coordinate with stake holders both internal and external to Hitachi Energy Organization
  • Take initiatives and very often critical decisions that will affect the deliveries of your projects.
  • Manage, both strategically and operationally, the appropriate use of technical and human resources.
  • Use your negotiation skills to finalize the terms that would benefit your projects
  • Living Hitachi Energy's core values of safety and integrity, which means taking responsibility for your own actions while caring for your colleagues and the business.

    • Your Background:

  • Master's or bachelor's degree in electrical or mechanical engineering.
  • Candidate should have minimum 20 to 25 years of experience in managing HVDC / FACTS / Substation projects with a value of 25 MUSD or higher.
  • Candidate must have Hitachi Energy Project Management Certification or a PMP certification.
  • Target driven, motivated and take complete ownership for the project assigned.
  • Self-starter caliber who could own tasks through to completion.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
