    Oracle Bigdata Delivery Lead - Assistant Vice President

    Role Summary & Role Description

    Experienced Delivery Lead

    This role requires expertise with Oracle SQL, PLSQL, Performance tuning, and the Hadoop stack including Impala, Hive, HBase, Spark, and Sqoop. The ideal candidate will focus 80% of their time on hands-on development, design, and architecture, with the remaining 20% dedicated to guiding the team on technology and removing impediments. Previous experience in Capital Markets Projects is preferred. The successful candidate will provide advanced technical expertise in analyzing, designing, estimating, and developing software applications within project schedules. Responsibilities include overseeing systems design, implementing complex design components, creating project plans and deliverables, monitoring task deadlines, maintaining existing software applications, and resolving technical issues. Additionally, the candidate will conduct end-to-end system tests before software release, document user and system requirements, recommend industry best practices, and mentor junior staff.

    • Acts as a technical lead/mentor for developers on daily and project-related tasks.
    • Ability to lead agile developer teams.
    • Experience in deadline-driven projects, with the ability to architect, design, and develop with minimal requirements by effectively coordinating activities among team members.
    • Proficient in providing project status updates on a daily basis.

    Technical Skills

    • SQL, PLSQL – 10 years
    • Unix shell scripting – 5 years
    • Big Data – 5 years
    • Scala – 2 years
    • Python – 2 years
    • End-to-end understanding of software architecture, design, development, and implementation.
    • Practical experience in Scrum, Agile modeling, and adaptive software development.
    • Experience in continuous integration, build processes, test automation, and deployment.
    • Ability to comprehend system components at a macro level.
    • Experience creating environment and architecture design guides and application blueprints.
    • Nice-to-have knowledge of Public clouds and Data bricks.

    Core/Must-have skills

    Technologies: Oracle SQL, PLSQL, Hadoop stack including Impala, Hive, HBase, Spark, Sqoop, and Scala.

    Desirable skills

    AWS cloud and Data bricks understanding.

    Work Schedule

    Flexible hours from 12 PM IST to 9 PM IST
