    Technical Writer, Product & Technology

    As a Technical Writer on the Product & Technology Solution Delivery team, you will leverage your understanding of business, technology, and communication to help our stakeholders understand and use our products. The Solution Delivery team is a strategic team that works to evolve our product development process, build strong communities, and foster a culture of learning and continuous improvement that supports a +$200M business realizing double-digit growth in a fast-growing market. Your goal: help write ShareFile's future by making complex information accessible and enabling our customers to take full advantage of the value we provide through our products. ​

    Role Overview:

    Now, let's get to the details. The successful candidate will create and maintain technical documentation for our software products, ensuring they are clear, concise, and accessible to users with varying levels of technical expertise.

  • Conceptualize, plan, develop, and write documentation sets for our software products, including complex technical material, with limited supervision.
  • Collaborate with product managers and engineers to gather information and ensure documentation accuracy.
  • Edit and proofread technical documents for clarity, consistency, and accuracy.
  • Ensure documentation complies with company and industry standards, including formatting, style, and language.
  • Manage documentation workflow following the GitHub merge process.
  • Continuously improve documentation processes and standards.​

  • 2+ years of experience in Technical Writing, Software Development, or a related field
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficient in GitHub, Markdown, and Visual Studio Code for publishing
  • Experience with technical writing, preferably in a software development environment
  • Familiarity with software development processes and tools
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and meet deadlines
  • Detail-oriented and organized
  • Experience working with geographically distributed teams
  • Familiarity with file-sharing apps and electronic signature apps is great​
