    Job Description:

    We are looking for an Accounting Support Associate to join our growing team to format, edit, proofread and finalize financial statements, reports and related letters.

    Roles and Responsibilities:

    • Review financial statements for compliance with firm formatting standards.
    • Review page numbers and compare all pages of the financial statements to the table of contents.
    • Review year end dates on all statements, notes, schedules, etc. and ensure they coincide with the client's arrangement letter year end.
    • Ensure numbers in the notes and schedules agree with the financial statements.
    • Add (foot) numbers for all statements, notes and schedules in preparation for proofreading.
    • Update proofreading log with errors.
    • Prepare financial statement drafts as needed.
    • Create and edit PDFs for Drafts and Finals.
    • Create Engagement Letters and Pre-Audit Letters in cycles as needed for new clients.
    • Update the workflow tracking software.

    Requirements:

    • Freshers from BCOM/MCOM stream are preferred.

    Skills and Expertise:

    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Word, Excel and Outlook, is required.
    • Prior experience in a Tax/Accounting firm is strongly preferred.
    • Experience with GFR and CCH Axcess is preferred.
    • Must have excellent organizational skills and the ability to multi-task.
    • Possesses excellent interpersonal skills as well as a cooperative and dependable personality.
