    Our engineering organization is seeking a highly skilled and technical senior software engineering manager to lead our digital marketplace squads. The selected candidate will play a crucial role in by setting up the high performance engineering teams and own the highly business impactful deliveries. This role requires an extensive experience in leading complex and large scale web and mobile products. You should be capable of going deep into technical discussions and be ready to provide guidance and help to senior engineers/ architects when necessary. If you possess a comprehensive understanding of the full stack and are passionate about delivering observable and composable digital solutions, we want to hear from you.

    What you'll be doing

    1. Team Leadership: Build, lead, and mentor a team of talented software engineers, providing guidance, support, and fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment.

    2. Engineering Excellence: Drive engineering best practices, ensuring high-quality software development, code reviews, and adherence to coding standards.

    3. Project Management: Oversee the successful delivery of complex software projects, from inception to deployment, ensuring on-time delivery and meeting quality standards.

    4. Technical Strategy: Collaborate with cross-functional teams and technical architects to define the technical roadmap, set architectural guidelines, and align development efforts with business objectives.

    5. Talent Acquisition: Participate in the recruitment process to attract top-tier engineering talent, while identifying and nurturing potential leaders within the team.

    6. Performance Management: Establish performance goals, conduct regular performance evaluations, and provide constructive feedback to team members.

    7. Innovation and Continuous Improvement: Stay abreast of industry trends, technologies, and methodologies, and encourage the team to adopt innovative solutions and tools to enhance development processes.

    8. Risk Management: Identify potential risks and challenges in projects, propose mitigation strategies, and ensure the team's ability to address unforeseen issues effectively.

    9. Collaboration: Collaborate with product management, design, and other stakeholders to drive product vision, scope, and development requirements.

    10. Budgeting and Resource Allocation: Work with senior management to develop and manage departmental budgets and resource planning to optimize efficiency and productivity.

    Requirements:

    1. Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.

    2. 15 or more years of progressive experience with a proven track record of setting up and managing high-performing engineering teams.

    3. Extensive experience in e-commerce, large-scale web-based digital platforms or similar complex systems development using modern JS framework (ReactJS, Flutter), MACH Architecture, GraphQL, SQL/NoSQL datastores (MySQL, MongoDB, Any columnar DB, etc), other relevant technology stack and delivery is a must.

    4. Strong technical background and proficiency in software development methodologies, tools, and technologies.

    5. Excellent leadership and communication skills with the ability to motivate and guide a diverse team of engineers.

    6. Demonstrated success in delivering complex projects on time, within budget and high resiliency (we thrive for 99.99% uptime).

    7. Deep understanding of agile development practices and the ability to tailor methodologies to suit project requirements.

    8. Experience in managing distributed teams and collaborating with international stakeholders.

    9. Proven ability to make data-driven decisions and analyze engineering metrics to drive continuous improvement.
