    Description

    This job is about leading and executing the overall Test strategy and Test Approach across FNZ Clients. Making sure that the QA/Testing Process and Procedures are consistent and effective for each project is key. The Test Manager will handle test risks, issues, timelines, and quality, overseeing all testing activities within the delivery team. Collaboration with different teams like Project Management, Delivery Management, Solution Consultants, Analyst Testers, Infrastructure, and Release Management across various projects is essential for successful on-time delivery in line with FNZ SDLC.

    Specific Role Responsibilities

    Stakeholder Management

    • Ensure overall client satisfaction and manage client issues effectively.
    • Provide progress updates to key stakeholders.
    • Work closely with Project Managers, Delivery Managers, and Test Leads on resourcing, risks, issues, and timelines.
    • Establish strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders around testing and quality.

    Delivery Management

    • Own the test estimation Process and deliver estimates following the defined SDLC.
    • Take charge of Delivery Test strategies and Test Approach.
    • Ensure QA/Testing Process and Procedures adherence across projects.
    • Responsible for Testing sign off for releases and work closely with Test Leads and Build Managers.
    • Conduct performance reviews for team members and engage with clients to agree on QA engagement model and test strategy.

    Quality Management

    • Communicate effectively internally and externally.
    • Ensure timely and quality test deliverables.
    • Continuously improve testing and quality practices to achieve better results.
    • Support process improvement initiatives and identify areas for enhancement.

    Governance & Control

    • Manage Test governance through metrics-driven reporting.
    • Report timely progress to the Project Team/Manager.
    • Own Quality and productivity improvement initiatives.
    • Manage risks and issues within the team and escalate when necessary.
    • Ensure timely booking of test environments and sign off entry and exit criteria for all test phases.

    Team Management

    • Review and induct new team members and manage team resources effectively.
    • Conduct performance management reviews as per company guidelines.
    • Provide coaching and training to uplift team capability and productivity.

    Experience required:

    • Seasoned test professional with a solid background in Financial Services.
    • Extensive experience in client-facing test delivery roles.
    • Ability to perform under pressure and meet strict deadlines.
    • Hands-on experience in functional and non-functional testing.
    • Proficient in fast-paced Agile environments.
    • Experience in delivering services using near shore and offshore teams.
    • Certification in ISTQB Advanced Test Manager (preferable).
    • Proficiency in JIRA, XRAY, and deep understanding of test matrices, KPI's, SLA's, and benchmarks.
    • Strong communication skills in English and proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
    • Adaptability and proactive approach towards process improvements.

    Preferred Industry Knowledge

    • Experience in investment/wealth/life and/or pensions products and markets.
    • Understanding of the regulatory environment within FNZ.
    • Expertise in FNZ Platform and all functional areas.
