    You will be in a client-facing role, working on challenges and hand-holding the finance and accounts teams of multiple organisations


    You are required to:

    • Serving as the primary point of contact for all finance, taxation, and compliancerelated issues.
    • Setting up and monitoring systems, proactively identifying and resolving issues before they become roadblocks.
    • Utilizing technology to your advantage and acting as a problem solver.
    • Occasional local travel within Mumbai and Pune

    JOB DESCRPTION


    The assistant manager will be an integral part of a team that works on designing, building and implementing solutions that address client needs in Finance, Taxation, and other laws related to the development sector.

    In this role, you will be a part of our projects by working hand in hand with the team in problem solving, working with multiple stakeholders, and contributing to research-based insights.

    Occasional travel Pune and within Mumbai.


    CTC
    Starting INR 8,00,000 - INR 10,00,000


    Qualification:
    Chartered Accountant with at least 1 year experience.

    ROLES and RESPONSIBILITIES

    Management Qualities

    • Experience in managing clients
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
    • Communicating with multiple stakeholders viz. leadership, auditors, donors, program staff, other consultants, etc
    • Soft skills including spoken and written English
    • Prior experience with guiding, motivating, and managing a team/juniors/client staff in their daytoday operations
    • Able to work independently, assume ownership, and responsibility of the work
    • Ability to establish and maintain harmonious working relationships with external contacts, coworkers, and staff, and to work and maintain diligently a professional team environment
    • Processdriven and taskmanager
    Compliance and Financial Management

    • Responsible for managing clients' compliances, viz. FCRA, TDS, PT, IT, GST, etc.
    • Responsible for preparing/reviewing clients' financial statements, reports/MIS, and books of accounts up to audit closure
    • Reviewing donor utilisation reports, tracking over/underutilization of donor funds and suggesting ways to optimise usage of funds; reviewing donor proposals based on client budgets and donor criteria
    • Reviewing monthly payroll as per donor allocations and Management plans for optimising usage of funds
    • Preparing organisational budget and tracking actual expenditure and variances periodically
    • Reviewing agreements from a legal and financial perspective
    • Overseeing Internal and Statutory audits

    Skills & Experience:

    • Fair understanding of Excel and Tally
    • A logical thinker and effective problem solver
    • Willingness to learn
    • Preferable to have a working knowledge of Income Tax, FCRA & GST laws and leadership qualities
