About the Position
The role within Brand Capital involves identifying potential investment opportunities, conducting thorough analysis of companies' business, financials, and media needs to secure significant deals with prominent companies. Responsibilities also include preparing deal documents, overseeing due diligence, ensuring compliance, monitoring media spends of portfolio companies, and enhancing their value for potential exits. The role necessitates maintaining client relationships, collaborating with internal departments, and actively engaging in consumer branding and investment by identifying, partnering, investing in, building, operating, and potentially exiting consumer businesses
Areas of Responsibility
Identify companies for investment by analysing databases, research their business, financials and media needs; focus to get larger deals in marquee companies
- Incumbent will be responsible for preparing term-sheets, initial deal document, due diligence, negotiating legal agreements and monitoring deals
- Ensuring compliance with pre & post-investment statutory requirements
- Monitoring media spends of portfolio companies and engaging with them to enhance spends
- Any other portfolio company-related tasks as necessary to enhance the value of the company for exit
- Client Management: Maintain relationship with key position holders of existing and prospective clients and maintain rapport with internal departments like Response, Legal and Brand Communication
- Extensive involvement in consumer branding and investing space; identifying businesses and working with entrepreneurs to partner, invest, build, operate and exit consumer businesses
Educational Qualifications Required
CA/CFA/MBA from top B-schools
Relevant Experience
10-15 years of relevant experience in various aspects of deal making including sourcing, execution, negotiating agreements, diligence, valuation, structuring etc.
Ideal candidate is an individual with experience in Investment Banking, VC/PE or Consulting who wants deep entrepreneurial experience. He/she should be a creative person, an out of box thinker, who can come up with new investment ideas and avenues for business expansion.
