    About the role
    Based out of our GCC, this role sits within the Global Digital & Tech Organisation and specifically within the Customer, Consumer & Expert organisation. Reporting to the Head of Salesforce Excellence Products this role will be responsible for identifying, designing and delivering Distributor Management and Distributor Salesforce Automation Tech & Data products that deliver tangible value and great experiences for both our Haleon commercial teams that manage relationships with our Distributors; and the Individuals within the Distributor organisation such as Sales Reps that distribute and sell Haleon products on our behalf. The objective is to increase effectiveness and efficiency and drive sales growth. You will product manage existing tech products such as our Distributor Management System & SFA tool for Distributor Reps.

    You will develop a deep understanding of customer needs and business processes, identifying gaps and opportunities to add value. You will create and manage the Product strategy and Roadmap and then partner with vendors and our in-house engineering teams to ship solutions & features that delight our end users and deliver business benefit. You will have an agile mindset and a can-do attitude, and you will be passionate about solving business challenges through technology. To be successful in this role you will need to be comfortable with getting things done in a matrixed environment. This is a global role, and you will work closely with individuals in our commercial excellence / sales organisations and other digital and tech functions.

    Key Responsibilities

  • Lead continuous customer research to understand customer needs (jobs to be done, problems to solve) and identify opportunities to add value.
  • Utilize outputs from customer research to build the Product Vision, Product Strategy & Roadmap for the Distributor domain and be able to evangelize this across Tech and within the business units.
  • Work with the business owner to pro-actively manage the product backlog – ensuring business problems are well articulated, business value is understood, and demand is prioritized.
  • Develop detailed user requirements/user stories and ensure that these are clearly understood by all key stakeholders.
  • Rigorously apply the scientific method and lean start-up thinking to set hypotheses, design experiments, test assumptions and break-down complex problems into smaller chunks.
  • Work alongside vendors and in-house engineering teams and Architects to turn opportunities into solutions, applying design thinking principles.
  • Measure the impact of all new work released on your roadmap, ensuring adoption happens and the value loop is closed.
  • Play the role of the 'Product Owner' as required during development sprints, making decisions in a timely manner.
  • Support the agile delivery process, with a mindset of continuous improvement and optimisation across people, processes, tools and technology. Work with internal and outsourced Agile teams on the end-to-end change & release process, quality assurance and testing.
  • Understand product dependencies and ensure risks and issues are clearly tracked and understood by key stakeholders.
  • Build strong cross functional partnerships with key business stakeholder as well as aligning across the Haleon Tech organisation on standards relating to platforms, security, vendors and delivery models.
  • Maintain high credibility and deliver real value by shipping product that make our users' lives easier.
  • Qualifications & skills

    Essential

  • 10+ years proven work experience in a product management role
  • Proven track record of managing all aspects of a successful product throughout its life cycle
  • Proven ability to develop product roadmaps and strategies and effectively communicate recommendations to executive management
  • Solid technical background with understanding and/or hands-on experience in software development and digital technologies
  • Experience of delivering global commercial technology projects using AGILE in a complex, matrix environment
  • Excellent understanding of B2B commercial business processes
  • Experience and exposure to relevant domains such as Distributor Management Systems, Salesforce Automation Tools, CRM, B2B eCommerce etc.
  • Advanced problem-solving skills and willingness to roll up one's sleeves to get the job done.
  • Preferred

  • 12+ years proven work experience in a product management role
  • Experience in the Healthcare and / or Fast-Moving Consumer Goods Industry
  • Enjoy change and can demonstrate great agility and resilience
  • Calm under pressure and able to manage competing demands
  • Ability to see the big picture and think beyond immediate area of responsibility
  • Experience in the visualisation of analytics insights and metrics in operational systems & BI visualisation tools such as Microsoft Power BI
  • Rich experience in design thinking and product discovery, including user research, persona and journey development, and UX & UI
  • Experience of having negotiated and managed contracts with vendors.
