    Description

    Position: Asst. Manager - Automated Fare Collection (AFC)

    Qualification: B. Tech (CS)

    Total Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience in Automatic Fare collection system development, testing, project management, contract administration, or related roles, preferably in the transportation sector.

    Industry Preferred: Metro (MRTS)

    Key Responsibilities:

    1.Agreement Preparation and Management:

    • Draft & review agreements, contracts related to AFC projects, ensuring compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
    • Coordinate with legal team, vendors, and stakeholders to finalize agreements in a timely manner.

    2.Vendor Coordination and Management:

    • Establish and maintain effective relationships with vendors, suppliers, and subcontractors involved in AFC projects.
    • Coordinate with vendors on a daily basis to resolve software bugs reported by Operations.
    • Ensure timely closure of pending bug items to maintain system integrity and functionality.

    3.Follow-up and Task Management:

    • Coordinate with team members to ensure timely completion of project tasks and deliverables.
    • Monitor project progress and follow up on outstanding action items to maintain project timelines and quality standards.
    • Prepare regular status reports and progress updates on project activities, milestones, and performance metrics.
    • Provide insights and analysis on project status to assist management in decision-making and strategic planning.

    4.Reconciliation & Financial Management:

    • Conduct thorough reconciliation, verification, and validation of transactions across all ticketing platforms (Closed loop, QR and Open Loop Ticketing systems) to ensure accuracy and integrity of revenue data.
    • Collaborate with B2Cs and stakeholders to automate reports, enhance dashboard availability, and customize dashboards based on inputs from the Finance team.
    • Work closely with Finance and Accounting teams for support in revenue reports reconciliation
    • Follow up with multiple stakeholders for any issues in case of pending settlements.

    5.Documentation and Reporting:

    • Oversee the release and management of new software versions in AFC systems.
    • Maintain accurate records of installation activities, testing results, and commissioning milestones.
    • Prepare regular progress reports, status updates, and documentation for management and stakeholders.
    • Prepare and submit necessary documentation for obtaining NFA approvals from regulatory authorities, ensuring compliance with project specifications and contractual obligations.
    • Assist in the preparation of LOAs and other project-related agreements to formalize commitments with stakeholders and subcontractors.

    6.Planning, Coordination and Reporting:

    • Coordinate the project activities with internal departments, external stakeholders, and project teams to ensure alignment with project goals and timelines.
    • Prepare regular progress reports, status updates, and presentations for management and stakeholders, highlighting key milestones, risks, and issues.
    • Develop detailed project plans and schedules for the installation, testing, and commissioning of AFC systems at Metro Stations.

    7.Testing and Commissioning:

    • Develop and review the testing procedures and protocols to verify the functionality and performance of AFC systems prior to commissioning.
    • Conduct comprehensive testing activities, including integration testing, functional testing, and acceptance testing, to validate system performance.

    8.Operation & Maintenance:

    • Provide necessary support to Operation and maintenance team based on the requirement.
    • Responsible for New products implementation in AFC System.

    9.Risk Management and Compliance:

    • Evaluate the feasibility of future products and enhancements leveraging the latest technology in AFC system.
    • Identify potential risks, issues, and dependencies affecting project delivery and implement mitigation strategies to minimize impact.
    • Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, industry standards, and company policies throughout the project lifecycle.

    Desired Competencies:

    • Minimum 5 years of experience in Automatic Fare collection system development, testing, project management, contract administration, or related roles, preferably in the transportation sector.
    • Strong understanding of software development lifecycle and release management processes.
    • Proficiency in API documentation interpretation and implementation.
    • Strong understanding of project management methodologies, contract law, and commercial negotiations.
    • Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to interact effectively with internal and external stakeholders at all levels.
    • Proficiency in project management tools and software applications for scheduling, budgeting, and reporting.
    • Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple projects simultaneously
