    Description

    Job Title: General Manager - Banquet Operations

    Location: Ahmedabad, India

    Compensation: Up to ₹25 LPA (Lakh per Annum)

    Experience Required: 10-20 years in banquet and convention centre operations

    Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced General Manager for our Banquet Operations in Ahmedabad. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in managing large-scale banquets and conventions, with a proven track record of delivering high-quality events and customer satisfaction. This role involves overseeing the planning, execution, and management of banquet events, ensuring operational excellence and maintaining financial targets.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Operational Management: Oversee the day-to-day operations of banquet and convention activities, ensuring high standards of quality, safety, and efficiency.
    • Event Planning: Coordinate with clients to understand their requirements, plan event logistics, and ensure seamless execution.
    • Team Leadership: Manage, train, and mentor a team of banquet staff, including supervisors, servers, and support staff.
    • Customer Service: Maintain excellent customer relations, addressing and resolving any customer concerns or complaints promptly.
    • Financial Oversight: Monitor budgets, control costs, and achieve financial targets. Develop strategies to maximize revenue and minimize waste.
    • Vendor Management: Coordinate with vendors, caterers, decorators, and other third-party suppliers to ensure all event components are executed as planned.
    • Compliance: Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and health and safety standards.
    • Quality Assurance: Implement quality control measures to maintain a high standard of service and customer satisfaction.
    • Innovation and Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices to enhance operational efficiency.

    Qualifications and Skills:

    • Experience: 10-20 years in banquet operations, with significant experience in managing large-scale events and conventions.
    • Leadership: Proven ability to lead and motivate teams, with strong interpersonal and communication skills.
    • Customer Focus: Strong customer service orientation with a commitment to excellence.
    • Organizational Skills: Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
    • Financial Acumen: Experience in budget management and financial planning.
    • Problem-Solving: Ability to think strategically and resolve issues effectively.
    • Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with banquet equipment, software, and related technology.
    • Flexibility: Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as required by event schedules.
