- Evaluation and deal execution of M&A, Investment or partnership opportunities
- Evaluate the opportunity – independently develop a financial model, perform detailed financial analysis, valuation analysis and synergy assessment arising from potential transaction
- Prepare Materials - detailed presentations on M&A / investment prospect for discussion at the Investment committee / Board level
- Stakeholder alignment - Communication and interaction with senior internal and external executives
- Transaction execution - Participating in and leading execution; involves work closely with business teams, internal functional experts (legal, tax, accounting etc) and various due diligence advisors
- Portfolio monitoring and updates – Work with investee cos. / partners for periodic progress updates and relay the same internally
- Strategy projects – Identify opportunities for growth / efficiency and drive it to execution
- Industry analysis - Performing and synthesizing comprehensive and in-depth industry (Indian and Global) and peer-benchmarking to spot opportunities (growth / efficiency)
- Stakeholder collaboration - Working with business teams to formulate strategy and solutions to meet objectives in areas identified viz., new markets, new products, new business segments, examine operating models for productivity improvement etc.
- Design strategic recommendations – detailed evaluation backed by rigorous, fact based, quantitative and qualitative analysis;
- Prepare materials - detailed presentations at the management / Board level
- Implementation plan - Designing implementation strategy and partnering with relevant functions of the organization to ensure deployment
- CA or MBA with about 5 - 8 yrs of experience
- Outstanding track record of academic achievement with excellent communication skills
- CA rank holders and / or MBA from premier institutes
- Experience in (a) transactions including M&A/equity investments, or (b) consulting in financial services sector, would be an advantage
- Superior articulation, analytical and problem solving skills, with demonstrated intellectual and analytical rigor, attention to detail and ability to carry out sophisticated financial modelling
- Advanced proficiency in excel and PowerPoint
- Ability to synthesize data into meaningful conclusions and recommendations
- Broad financial acumen including a strong foundation in corporate finance principles including valuations principles
- Strong work ethic, ability to proactively manage multiple high priority projects and work effectively in team
- Temperament to work in cross-functional teams and ability to interact and co-ordinate with other businesses, teams and individuals for execution
