    TechnicalSuperintendent BulkCarriers

    (Basedin HongKong)


    ORGANIZATION:As a key person inthe Technical Department you will be in charge of the technical andgeneral management of a fleet of bulk carriers and report to themanagement team. Your tasks include budget control managing repairand maintenance of the vessel assigned compliance with regulatoryrequirements and beyond. A team of technical superintendents andpurchasers will assistyou.


    YOURRESPONSIBILITIES:
    • Budgetmanagement: Take fullresponsibility for the budgets of assigned ships. Liaise closelywith the technical purchasing and finance teams to ensure thebudget is within the agreed target. Manage drydocking of thevessels within allotted budgetlimits.

    • Relationshipmanagement: Build and maintainclose relationships with the clients ship s crew and shipmanagement teams and onshoreteams.

    • Technicalmanagement and operations:Planning and allocation of resources setting processesimplementing improvement plans in a rigorous and structured way forplanned and routine maintenance of the ships under yourcharge.

    • HealthSafety and Environment Compliance:Responsible for creating and maintaining asafe and compliant working environment as per procedure and worktowards quality and continuousimprovement.

    Requirements

    • Youmust be a qualified Marine Engineer or equivalent diploma holder inmarine/navigation
    • Minimum2 years of experience in a shore based position as aSuperintendent.
    • Experiencesailing on Bulk Carriers as a Chief Engineer ispreferred.
    • Experiencein managing dry docking at shipyards isrequired.
    • Businessacumen with capability to manage the budgetary responsibilities formultiplevessels.
    • Peopleoriented and passionate about developing shipboard and shored basedteams.
    • Ableto multitask and work under pressure to meetdeadlines.
    • Wellupdated with the latest regulatory requirements and itsimplementation.
