    Description

    VXL SERVICES INC. based in North Brunswick, NJ is looking for a hands-on full-time Accountant who can work remotely from India in the US Time zone. ONLY MUMBAI-BASED CANDIDATES WILL BE CONSIDERED

    Job Description:

    • 5 - 6 years of US Accounting, Payroll & US Tax experience (no exception)
    • Candidate will work US TIME ZONE (9 AM EST to 5 PM EST Monday to Friday) and on weekends if required. NO MOONLIGHTING WILL BE PERMITTED

    Responsible for the following functions:

    • Finalization of client Financial statements and working with the India team, and clients to resolve any issues.
    • Review and finalize Individual, Trust, Sales, Corporate, and Partnership tax returns such as Form 1040, 1041, 1120, 1120S, 1065, and multi-state tax returns.
    • Experience in preparation of FBAR, Forms 5471, 5472, global income calculation, and foreign tax credit.
    • Resolving IRS and State income tax notices.
    • Payroll registration, and processing of payroll. Should know payroll rules and regulations in various states.
    • Company formation, sales tax registration, filing, and working with tax authorities to resolve customer issues.

    The candidate should possess the following characteristics:

    • Advanced knowledge of QuickBooks desktop, Pro Series/any other US tax software, and Excel is required.
    • Strong work ethic and excellent communication skills especially in spoken and written English.
    • Experience in directly working with US clients and tax authorities.
    • A Qualified Chartered Accountant and Enrolled Agent candidate is strongly preferred.
    • Should have prior experience working and managing remote teams
    • Must be able to work independently and multi-task in a fast-paced environment
    • You must not just enjoy but love interacting with clients and have the ability to mentor team members.
    • Willing to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends if necessary during tax season.
