    Description

    Location – Maharashtra and Madhya Pradesh

    Educational Qualifications:

    Master's degree/Postgraduate in Agriculture or equivalent with 7 years of work experience in the agriculture/agribusiness sector and 5 years of work experience on cost-benefit analysis on bio-resources/agricultural products and valuation of ecosystem services.

    Professional Experiences:

    • Understanding of climatic conditions, planting, sowing and harvesting cycles of season specific crops.
    • Experience of working with agricultural products as well as bio-resources products.
    • Experience of working on cost-benefit analysis preparation of agricultural/bioresources products for the greater part of the overall work experience of the candidate.
    • Experience in preparing economic valuation of ecosystem services, for example, carbon sequestration as an ecosystem service.
    • Understanding of climate impact of projects in quantitative and qualitative terms.
    • Knowledge of sustainable and organic farming practices.
    • Understanding of rural conditions from a socio-economic perspective.
    • Experience in field implementation, community development, and stakeholder engagement.
    • Willingness to travel frequently within the designated area, site, and head offices.
    • Experience of working in teams.

    Other Requirements:

    • Understanding of field survey, questionnaire preparation for studies like agricultural surveys/productivity analysis/cost-benefit analysis, however not limited to these.
    • Proficiency in data collection and reporting.
    • Excellent communication skills in English and Hindi.
    • Knowledge of Marathi would be preferred.
    • Candidates having previous experience of working in Maharashtra and Madhya Pradesh would be preferred.

    Roles and responsibilities:

    • Support questionnaire designing for undertaking cost-benefit analysis for agricultural products, bioresources products and understanding of climate impact of the concerned project.
    • Engage actively with farmers for ensuring data quality maintenance.
    • Engage in dynamic coordination necessary for ensuring execution of questionnaire at the field level.
    • Prepare cost-benefit analysis reports from a climate impact perspective and other similar project products as may be required for the project.
    • Undertake necessary secondary research for achieving the project deliverables as necessitated by the project.
    • Support the team through the process of data analysis.
    • Support the project lead in maintenance of project timeline.
    • Undertake necessary communications for the project with the relevant stakeholders.
