    Description

    Job Title : Global Lead Buyer (For Activated Carbon, Functional Silanes and Metal Salts)

    Reporting to : Sr. Vice President Procurement & Head of Inorganics & Base Petrochemicals

    Entity : Evonik India

    Work Location : Thane

    Purpose of the Position:

    • Global sourcing repsonsibility for (several) strategic raw material baskets.
    • Purchasing of raw materials considering quality, safety, sustainability as well as cost and time efficiency.
    • Support of Business Lines with repect to all raw material sourcing topics.
    • Evaluation of new raw material sources.
    • Strategic and tactical planning/forecasting of the complex global sourcing activities.
    • Guarantee security of supply.
    • Development and implementation of raw material strategies.

    Key Responsibilities :

    • Execution of soucring activities for strategic raw materials according to users' need in a timely and accurate manner
    • Identification and consolidation of the complex raw material plannings across several stakeholders
    • Development and implementation of gloabl sourcing strategies
    • Generate savings
    • Global contract negotiations and execution of the supply contracts
    • Identification and implementation of alternative sources
    • Strategic supplier evaluation
    • Creation and maintenance of supplier relations
    • Support of selected Business Lines
    • Leading global teams with respect to gloabl souring activities
    • Continuous reporting.
    • Ensuring compliant sourcing activities with respect to all relevant laws and guidelines.
    • Identification and implementation of more sustainable sourcing including topics such as RSPO switch, reduction of carbon footprint, identifying alternative feedstocks etc.

    Qualification & Work Experience required -

    • Bachelor s degree in a related field or equivalent experience
    • Minimum 8-10 years of relevant work experience.
    • Relevant Product line knowledge / expereince will be added advantage.
    • Be an excellent negotiator, drive creative solutions & self-starter.
    • Excellent research, data mining, analytical and problem-solving skills.
