    Job Summary:
    We are seeking a skilled and experienced Data Governance Specialist to join our team in Bangalore.

    The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data governance, with expertise in tools such as Collibra, data lineage, data quality, metadata management, and Python.

    This role requires a proactive individual who can lead data governance initiatives, ensuring the integrity, quality, and security of our data assets.


    Key Responsibilities:

    • Develop and implement data governance strategies and frameworks to ensure data quality, consistency, and security.
    • Manage and enhance data governance tools, including Collibra, to support data lineage, data quality, and metadata management.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to establish data standards, policies, and procedures.
    • Conduct data quality assessments and implement improvement initiatives.
    • Develop and maintain data lineage documentation to track data flow and transformations.
    • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal data policies.
    • Provide training and support to business users on data governance practices and tools.
    • Monitor and report on data governance metrics and performance indicators.

    Technical Skills:

    • Strong experience with data governance tools, particularly Collibra.
    • Proficiency in Python for data analysis and automation tasks.
    • Knowledge of data lineage concepts and tools.
    • Experience with data quality management and metadata management practices.
    • Familiarity with Naltrex or similar tools (if applicable).
    • Understanding of database technologies and data warehousing concepts.
    • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, or a related field years of professional experience in data governance or a related role.
    • Proven experience in implementing and managing data governance frameworks.
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
    • Attention to detail and a commitment to data accuracy and integrity.

    Preferred Skills:

    • Experience with Agile/Scrum development methodologies.
    • Knowledge of cloud platforms and data integration tools.
    • Familiarity with data privacy regulations and compliance requirements.
