    WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

    You are driven by impact and delivery-focused but more importantly harbour a passion for data privacy and ethics, leveraging your technology expertise, and possessing leadership skills to embed high ethical standards in the technology landscape and organization, then this role presents an excellent opportunity to drive change in a space pioneered in Denmark and the EU.

    You will join our Dat team, which drives improvements to how Maersk governs data and AI focusing on impact and sustainability. Our approach focus on high levels of automation with the aspiration of making controls so embedded with technology that our people do not notice them. You will constantly push for improving Maersk data and AI ethics to ensure our customers and employees have complete trust in how their data is used and appreciate the value creation it supports.

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

    We offer a role with plenty of opportunity to perform and grow:

  • Facilitate the definition of data policies and standards while effectively enable Maersk to be ahead of the curve on how we live up to our ambition on data ethics. Collaborate closely with the legal team to establish clear boundaries and ownership of policy definition and standards.
  • Take accountability for driving policy adoption and compliance, working in close alignment with our Legal & Corporate Affairs and Technology teams. Recognize the historical challenges in data governance and incorporate an educational element into the role to address the lack of understanding and ownership.
  • Provide guidance and thought leadership to platform, data, and AI teams, data protection considerations are seamlessly integrated into all aspects of the product lifecycle.
  • Provide strategic insights and recommendations on enhancing data privacy measures, anticipating future trends and challenges.
  • Advocate for industry-leading data privacy practices, influencing internal policies and practices.
  • Have a pulse on regulatory trends, ethnographic considerations, and overall stance on topics of ethics, fairness, and social responsibility.
  • Collaborate with leaders across the organization to understand privacy, legal, and ethical considerations in the use of AI/ML and analytics, promoting best practices while preparing for the future requirements of advanced AI technologies.
  • Drive adherence to policies with the accountable platform teams including GDPR asset mapping and risk assessments
  • Develop and implement best approach for compliance and risk mitigation leveraging technology.
  • Facilitate technology decisions as required by the target outcome and portfolio by bringing accountable and capable teams together for co-creation.

    • BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

    To succeed in this role, we expect you to bring:

  • +7 years of experience in data/technology functions
  • Promising leadership skills with the ability to influence without authority and deliver through virtual teams.
  • Experience with data ethics, data privacy, and/or general environmental, social, and corporate governance (ESG)
  • Experience with delivery management in technology organizations
  • High personal agility and ability to deal with ambiguity.
  • Ability to comfortably shift between strategic thinking and execution, and easily connect the two.
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to present complicated technology concepts in a simple manner, and to communicate key technology challenges or overviews relevant to senior technology leadership.
  • Curiosity to learn about the Global Data & Analytics team and data technology concepts, maintaining an extensive network with up-to-date knowledge of what has mainstream/enterprise relevance to Maersk
