    Job Description:

    About Architecture and Data Governance Organization:

    "Architecture and Data Governance" falls under IM Governance and Agile Transformation department in D&IM function. The Data Governance Manager will collaborate closely with Data officers, global data governance function, Enterprise Architecture, Customer & Programmes Solutions, Corporate Functions, Digital Platforms and Workplace & Infrastructure regarding data governance activities in India.

    Your Role:

    • Lead data governance activities in India to deliver value, meet function and business needs, protect data, ensure data compliance, promote data usage, standardize data, streamline information systems, and enhance data quality.
    • Establish, streamline, and promote Data Governance practices in Airbus India following global Data Governance standards.
    • Create a detailed map of data and its properties; connect data objects and source systems with IM Enterprise Architecture, and business objects with Data Officers.
    • Evaluate Airbus India's compliance with data governance standards, assess associated risks, and develop action plans.
    • Oversee internal and external data governance activities, including training, awareness, and communications.
    • Assist Business and Information Management stakeholders in prioritizing Data Governance investments aligned with the strategy and expected value.
    • Provide guidance for onboarding New Engagement by outlining data classification prerequisites.

    Tasks & Responsibilities:

    • Support Application Owners in data classification, Risk assessment, and Risk mitigation/elimination.
    • Ensure proper tagging/labeling of data at Airbus India Information Management and suppliers.
    • Develop training solutions for end users on data sensitivity classification and tagging.
    • Act as the privacy focal point in India, managing entry into TrustArc and personal data processing in connection with EN.IM process.
    • Align Airbus India's data governance efforts with global data standards and guidelines.
    • Support innovative data governance initiatives utilizing new digital technologies.
    • Guide IM India team on the application registration process in myportfolio.
    • Collect and share suitable KPIs and dashboards for monitoring purposes.
    • Offer advice on appropriate data usage and risks, aiding in the development and implementation of value-added data services.
    • Drive innovation and scouting related to data usage, regulation, analysis, and business models.

    Required Professional Experience:

    Graduate/Post Graduate with over 12 years of experience in IT/Services/Engineering domains, focusing on enterprise data lifecycle management and governance framework with a strong grasp of digital technologies.

    Required Leadership Skills:

    • Ability to influence senior managers and communicate effectively with top management.
    • Project Management.
    • Motivate the team to complete project work.
    • Stakeholders management and networking skills.
    • Passion for technology and market trends in Digital technologies.
    • Decisiveness in complex environments.
    • Problem-solving mindset.
    • Understand and deliver new business and customer requirements.

    Technical Skills:

    • Extensive experience in the data lifecycle.
    • Understanding of data regulations like GDPR, Export Controls, PII, etc.
    • Knowledge of data architecture and data security.
    • Strong grasp of data governance principles and framework.
    • Familiarity with the IT applications landscape at Airbus is advantageous.
    • Experience in the Aerospace domain, particularly in managing digital applications, is a plus.

    Travel outside India may be necessary based on business needs.
