    Responsibilities and Duties

    This is a full-time Senior Machine Learning Engineer role at GPI with the flexibility for some remote work, based in Mumbai. As a Senior Machine Learning Engineer, you will be responsible for researching, designing, and implementing machine learning models/algorithms. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business needs and develop innovative data-driven solutions to improve business performance.

    Key Subject Matter / Technical Skills:

    Qualifications

    • 6-10 years previous overall experience as an ML Engineer or Data Scientist
    • Able to work comfortably with Microsoft Azure cloud platform/stack skilled in productionising ML models into Azure architecture
    • Use exceptional mathematical skills, in order to perform computations and work with algorithms involved in NLP and Text Analytics use-cases
    • Able to implement text analytics methods such as Topic modelling, Sentiment analysis, Text Summarisation, Text Classification, Language translation, Names Entity recognition
    • Design machine learning systems and self-running artificial intelligence (AI) software to automate predictive models, and automate intelligent extractions of data from PDFs, OCRs and other document sources, and into data lake/data warehouse and structured table
      • Bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science or related field
      • Minimum of 4 years of experience in building and deploying machine learning models
      • Strong proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, and C++
      • Proven experience in supervised and unsupervised models, deep learning and natural language processing
      • Experience with distributed systems, cloud computing, and big data technologies such as Hadoop, Spark, and AWS
      • Experience in working with structured and unstructured data, data preprocessing and feature engineering
      • Experience with ML model deployment and productionization techniques
      • Ability to communicate technical concepts effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
      • Experience in leading a team or mentoring junior team members is a plus
      • Great problem-solving skills, ability to work independently and with a team, attention to detail, and a desire to learn and innovate within a fast-paced environment
