    Job Description:

    We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Compositing Supervisor to lead our compositing team in VFX post-production. The Compositing Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the compositing process, from pre-production planning to final delivery. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in compositing and visual effects production, excellent leadership abilities, and a passion for pushing the boundaries of creative storytelling through seamless integration of visual effects elements.

    Responsibilities:

    1. Project Management: Lead and manage the compositing team throughout the entire production process, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

    2. Pre-Production Planning: Collaborate with VFX manager, producers, directors, VFX supervisors, and other key stakeholders to develop compositing strategies and establish project goals and requirements.

    3. Pipeline Development: Develop and maintain efficient compositing pipelines and workflows, implementing best practices and technologies to maximize efficiency and productivity.

    4. Team Leadership: Provide leadership, guidance, and mentorship to the compositing team, fostering a collaborative and creative work environment conducive to innovation and excellence.

    5. Shot Breakdown and Allocation: Break down shots and allocate tasks to compositors based on project requirements, ensuring a balanced workload and efficient use of resources.

    6. Quality Control: Conduct thorough quality control checks on compositing work throughout the production process, identifying and addressing any issues or discrepancies to maintain consistency and integrity.

    7. Client Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact for clients regarding compositing-related matters, providing regular updates, addressing feedback and revisions, and ensuring client satisfaction.

    8. Creative Collaboration: Collaborate closely with VFX supervisors, directors, and other key creatives to integrate visual effects seamlessly into storytelling, enhancing narrative coherence and visual impact.

    9. Technology and Innovation: Stay informed about emerging technologies, tools, and trends in compositing and visual effects production, exploring new techniques and approaches to push the boundaries of creative storytelling.

    10. Internal Collaboration: The Compositing Supervisor is anticipated to collaborate closely with Roto and Paint leads to finalize shots.

    11. Ensuring Quality Output: The Compositing Supervisor is expected to actively engage in the execution of work using software tools while also managing the team to ensure high-quality results.

    13. Seamlessly integrate CGI, live-action footage, and digital assets using industry-standard compositing software such as:

    Mandatory: Nuke (In-depth knowledge)

    Expected to have knowledge in: Silhouette, Photoshop, and 3D Equalizer.

    Good to know: Flame, Adobe After Effects, or similar

    15. Match color, lighting, and camera movements to achieve realistic and cohesive visual effects.

    Qualifications:

    Bachelor's degree in Film, Animation, Visual Effects, or related field (preferred).

    Proven experience in compositing and visual effects production, with a strong portfolio showcasing proficiency in compositing techniques and technologies.

    Demonstrated leadership abilities, with experience managing and motivating teams in a fast-paced production environment.

    Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.

    Strong understanding of cinematography, lighting, and composition principles.

    Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

    Creative vision and passion for pushing the boundaries of visual storytelling through innovative compositing techniques.

    Previous experience in a supervisory or managerial role within a visual effects studio or production company is a plus.
