    ABOUTTHE ROLEAs aMigration Engineer you will play a critical role in ensuring asmooth transition of customers monitoring and observabilityinfrastructure. Your expertise in various other observability toolscoupled with a strong understanding of PromQL will be essential insuccessfully migrating alerts and dashboards optimizing systemperformance and enhancing the customers monitoring capabilities.You will collaborate with the customers crossfunctional teamsunderstand their requirements design migration strategies executethe migration process and provide training and support throughouttheengagement.

    ROLESANDRESPONSIBILITIES
    • MigrationStrategy: Develop a comprehensive plan for migrating customersexisting alerts and dashboards considering system requirementsdependencies and potential impact on existinginfrastructure.
    • Alert Configuration: Configureand finetune alerting rules thresholds and conditions based on thecustomers existing alerts ensuring an accurate translation ofmonitoring logic.
    • Dashboard Migration: Migratethe customers dashboards to reimagine visualizations and ensuredata accuracy consistency and optimal performance in the newenvironment.
    • Documentation: Create detailedtechnical documentation and guides for the migration processincluding stepbystep procedures best practices and troubleshootingguidelines tailored to the customersenvironment.
    • Training and Support: Providetraining sessions and workshops to educate the customersstakeholders on the usage of including configuring alerts buildingdashboards and leveraging PromQL for advanced querying andanalysis.
    • Collaboration: Collaborate closelywith the customers crossfunctional teams including DevOpsEngineering and Operations to understand their specific monitoringneeds gather requirements and ensure alignment during the migrationprocess.
    • Troubleshooting: Investigate andresolve issues related to alerts dashboards and overall monitoringfunctionality in ensuring the systems reliability and accuracy forthe customer.
    • Innovational Mindset: We wantyour innovative skills and mindset to improvise and scale theprocess of migration through automation wheneverpossible.

    REQUIREMENTS
    • ProfessionalExperience: Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Systems EngineerDevOps Engineer or similar roles with a focus on monitoringalerting and observabilitysolutions.
    • Observability Expertise: Goodknowledge and handson experience with 2 or more Observabilityplatforms including alert configuration dashboard creation andinfrastructure monitoring.
    • PromQL Proficiency:Good understanding and practical experience with PromQL Prometheussquery language for querying metrics and creating custom dashboards.Person would also need to learn Dataprime and Lucene syntax on thejob.
    • Monitoring Concepts: Solid understandingof monitoring concepts methodologies and best practices includingalerting strategies metric collection and loganalysis.
    • Troubleshooting Skills: Excellentproblemsolving and debugging skills to diagnose issues identifyroot causes and propose effectivesolutions.
    • Communication Skills: Strong Englishverbal and written communication skills to collaborate with thecustomers crossfunctional teams deliver training sessions andcreate clear technicaldocumentation.
    • Analytical Thinking: Ability toanalyze complex systems identify inefficiencies or gaps and proposeoptimized monitoring solutions.
    • Availability:Ability to also work across US and Europeantimezones
