    Description

    Responsibilities:

    • Provide legal guidance and support to various departments within the organization, including operations, finance, compliance, and risk management.
    • Review and draft legal documents, contracts, agreements, and policies to ensure compliance with laws and regulations.
    • Stay updated on changes in laws and regulations affecting the NBFC sector and offer timely updates and recommendations to management.
    • Collaborate with external legal counsel when necessary and oversee legal proceedings such as litigation, arbitration, and regulatory inquiries.
    • Conduct in-depth legal research and analysis on complex issues and offer clear and concise advice to stakeholders.
    • Develop and implement compliance programs and procedures to guarantee adherence to regulatory requirements.
    • Assist in creating and executing corporate governance policies and procedures.
    • Participate in due diligence for potential transactions, mergers, and acquisitions.
    • Train and educate employees on legal and compliance matters to foster a culture of compliance.

    Requirements:

    • Bachelor's degree in Law (LL.B) from a recognized institution; Master's degree or specialized certification in financial law or related field preferred.
    • Minimum of 8 years of experience practicing law, focusing on financial services and regulatory compliance.
    • In-depth knowledge of NBFC regulations, including RBI guidelines and SEBI regulations.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to interpret complex legal issues and provide practical solutions.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with internal and external stakeholders.
    • Proven track record of managing legal matters and offering strategic advice to senior management.
    • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic environment, demonstrating a strong commitment to integrity and professionalism.
