Owning of continuous review, identification, development, and implementation of improvements to the Customer environment to increase efficiency, quality, and speed of delivered servicesProviding change leadership within immediate team and encourage and nurture change across Network Engineering ecosystemCommunicating and translating functional/operational goals into team/individual objectives; manage implementation of policies proceduresCarrying out, inspecting and validating management administration tasks, such as time management and productivity measurement, personnel development, etc.
Managing a team of highly technical, distributed engineers; provide support/review and escalation for direct teamMonitoring, optimizing and reporting on resource and workforce managementCollaborating with Engineering/Planning, IT, Product Development, and various Verizon and external delivery and support teams to manage the design and implementation of Customer projectsAssist pre-sales engagement (for large/complex) deals working with client Operations, Planning and Design ("OPD") as required in addition to proactively engaging with sales as needed acting as a champion for Engineering FX's within the sales pursuit process.
QualificationsBachelor's degree or relevant work experience.Relevant experience in telecommunications or a technology company.
Knowledge of communications products and networking technologies in order to be able to understand technical issues that are being escalated.
Fluency in English.Skills to perform complex work for a functional area and general knowledge of other areas.
Knowledge of business processes (e.g., ITIL, Project Management) and the impact thereof on the technical environment.
Experience or specific skills related to:
technology adoption, software development, business process optimization, automation, etc.
Leadership and team-building capabilities through experience in leading teams or projects to successfully achieve measurable results.
