    Description

    Responsibilities :


    • Lead and manage a team of software engineers, fostering a collaborative, highperformance environment.
    • Develop and execute strategic roadmaps for assigned software products within the overall OTT platform.
    • Define technical vision, break down complex problems, and assign tasks to meet development goals.
    • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to team members, promoting continuous learning and growth.
    • Collaborate effectively with crossfunctional teams (product, design, QA) to ensure seamless product development.
    • Manage external partners and vendors, ensuring efficient collaboration and project delivery.
    • Participate in the technical interview process and identify top talent.
    • Oversee code quality, maintain high coding standards, and ensure adherence to best practices.
    • Track project progress, measure performance against metrics, and identify opportunities for improvement.
    • Manage budgets and resources effectively.
    • Manage tight deadlines and lead multiple projects concurrently while maintaining focus on quality.
    • Travel to Roku engineering locations across the United States, and potentially internationally to Europe and Asia.
    Qualifications :


    • Minimum of 8 years of experience in a software leadership role (Manager/Sr.
    Manager level) within the technology industry.

    • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent experience.
    • Proven experience with fullstack software development on embedded Linux OS.
    • Extensive experience in OTT/streaming technologies and platforms.
    • Strong programming experience with C/C++ and multithreaded systems development.
    • Demonstrated experience building and directly managing teams of individual contributors.
    • Experience working with large, crossfunctional global teams on complex software projects.
    • Ability to balance strategic thinking with a focus on shortterm objectives and deliverables.
    • Proven ability to manage and collaborate with external partners and vendors.
    • Deep understanding of networking, streaming, and DRM technologies (TCP/IP, HTTP, HLS, DASH, Widevine, PlayReady).
    • Excellent communication, collaboration, and problemsolving skills.
    • Strong leadership and mentoring capabilities.
    • Ability to multitask effectively and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
    • Ability to travel as required, including domestic and international locations.
