    Role Description

    This is a full-time on-site role as Deputy Manager, Fund Management at Pelican PMS in Chennai. As a Deputy Manager in Fund Management, you will be responsible for day-to-day tasks related to managing investment portfolios. This includes analyzing market trends, conducting research, making investment decisions, monitoring portfolio performance and keeping custody & fund accounting on track. You will work closely with a team of professionals and collaborate with clients to meet their wealth creation goals.

    Qualifications

    • Postgraduate Degree in Finance, Law, Accountancy, Business Management, CA, CFA, or Post-Graduate Program in the Securities Market (Portfolio Management) from NISM
    • NISM-Series-XXI-B Certification before joining
    • At least five years in related activities in the securities market including in a portfolio manager, stockbroker, investment advisor, research analyst or as a fund manager
    • minimum 2 years (out of the 5 years in the securities market) of relevant experience is in portfolio management or investment advisory services or in the areas related to fund management
    • Proven experience in fund management or portfolio management
    • Strong analytical and research skills
    • Knowledge of financial markets, instruments, and investment strategies
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
    • Ability to work in a team and handle multiple tasks
    • Proficiency in financial software and tools
    • Sound understanding of risk management and regulatory requirements
