    Description

    The role will be a manager within the Levi's Enterprise Cloud Services Organization which is responsible for engineering, implementing, and managing the technology required to run a cloud-based technology across the enterprise.

    • Responsible for overseeing work assigned to the DevOps Team during Agile planning cycles

    • Responsible for overseeing developers and operations engineers to create and maintain the cloud infrastructure in a hybrid and multi-cloud environment

    • Contribute to strategic planning for cloud solutions

    • Develops and maintains service capacity forecasts, responsible for the day-to-day capacity and proactive management of services.

    • Proactively monitors cloud-based service offerings as they move through development, continuous integration, and pre-production, in addition to production itself.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Responsible for coaching and managing a growing global cloud and DevOps team

    • Manage the implementation of successful DevOps solutions in a multi-cloud environment (AWS, GCP, Azure, Private Cloud, etc).*

    • Manage the SCRUM process for DevOps and Cloud based teams

    • Responsible for aligning objectives and roadmaps with Agile planning

    • Responsible for maintaining technical relevance as a technical manager

    • Ideal candidate should have 9+ years of prior experience in developing automation with DevOps tools for IT infrastructure such as: network, server, hypervisor, IaaS, etc.*

    • Explore and evaluate new technologies and solutions to push capabilities forward, getting ahead of our business needs, getting people incentivized to transform, innovate and continually improve.

    • Ensure the quality and performance of the platform through fully automated functional and performance testing.

    • Ensure deployment framework is tightly integrated across all workstreams and follows standard processes.

    • Responsible for training employees on all aspects of job (technical and admin)
    • Write and maintain technical documentation and requirements related to DevOps technologies
    • Monitor cloud consumption to detect, investigate, and escalate anomalies and unplanned spikes.


    • Responsible for maintaining and forecasting a departmental budget within an acceptable variance


    • Responsible for tracking and forecasting toolset utilization and capacity


    • Responsible for managing a follow the sun engineering and operations team.

    Minimum Education Required: Bachelor's Degree in technology field Technical Certifications highly preferred: Public Cloud Certification(s), DevOps tools certification(s)

    Years and Type of Experience Required:


    • Experience at utilizing toolsets such as: Ansible, Terraform, Jenkins, XL Release, Artifactory, GitHub.

    A minimum of 3 years' experience in hands-on Cloud Administration


    • A minimum of 2 years' experience managing Cloud Operations teams.


    • Experience designing DevOps pipelines and architecture


    • Ability to participate in fast-paced DevOps and Engineering teams within Scrum agile processes


    • Experience consulting with business process and functional unit owners


    • Basic knowledge of querying and organizing data


    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English


    • Motivated, results-oriented self-starter, curious and inquisitive


    • Must be capable of performing effective touch-point/counseling with team members. Experience mentoring and coaching a small to medium sized team
