    Description

    At Beco we are looking for a NPD Manager with Home or Personal Care expertise who will be responsible for managing from concepting to designing, testing, costing, mass production, promotion, support, and finally product end of life.

    Job Profile:

    Formulation Chemist Responsibilities:

    New Product Development

    Developing formulations of home care products.

    Formulate raw materials including powder, liquid and gel products to meet ingredient standards and deadlines.

    Follow industry standards on scientific significance, accuracy, safety and record keeping.

    Optimize formulated ingredients to meet cost objectives and to manage availability of raw materials.

    Follow the latest technologies in encapsulation, particle electrical charge control and dispersion mechanisms.

    Execute project commitments and pursue contingency plans.

    Knowledge of stability testing and record result.

    Test substances for composition, properties, structures and reactions.

    Prepare research proposals including analytical, technical and financial data for developing and testing new or improved products.

    Identify testing abnormalities and execute corrective actions.

    Review competitive products and trade publications and prepare reports on comparative tests, raw material information, and educational scopes.

    Manage daily laboratory operations and schedules.

    Monitor equipment operations and maintain cleanliness in the laboratory.

    Plan, execute and monitor laboratory research programs and technologies.

    • Train and supervise scientific staffs.

    Desired Candidate Profile:

    • Candidates with 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in Home or Personal Care category
    • A self-starter attitude, the ability to work independently and in a group.
    • Should have exposure in Product Management
    • Strong analytical skills & attention to detail.
    • Ability to think creatively and come up with ideas / thoughts with significant business/ organizational impact.
    • Interpersonal, communication (oral and written) and presentation skills
    • Proficient in overseeing the production of finished goods with batch volumes of 5 tons or more.
    • Skilled in collaborating with third-party manufacturers specializing in Home & Personal Care products.
    • Capable of closely monitoring product quality, addressing issues, and driving innovation at third-party manufacturing facilities.
