    Description

    The Senior Accountant plays a key role in the financial management of the organization, responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, preparing financial reports, analyzing financial data, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards.

    Responsibilities:

    Financial Reporting:

    • Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
    • Ensure accuracy and completeness of financial data.
    • Generate financial reports for management review.

    General Ledger Management:

    • Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts.
    • Monitor transactions to ensure proper classification and recording.
    • Review journal entries and adjustments.

    Budgeting and Forecasting:

    • Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts.
    • Monitor budget variances and provide analysis.
    • Make recommendations for cost-saving opportunities.

    Financial Analysis:

    • Analyze financial data and trends to provide insights and recommendations.
    • Conduct profitability analysis and cost-benefit analysis.
    • Prepare ad-hoc financial reports as required.

    Tax Compliance:

    • Prepare and file tax returns, including income tax, sales tax, and others as required.
    • Ensure compliance with tax laws and regulations.
    • Assist in tax planning and strategy.

    Audit Support:

    • Coordinate with auditors during annual audits.
    • Provide necessary documentation and support for audit inquiries.
    • Implement audit recommendations and improvements.

    Process Improvement:

    • Identify opportunities for process improvement and efficiency.
    • Implement best practices in accounting processes and procedures.
    • Streamline financial reporting processes.

    Team Leadership and Training:

    • Provide guidance and support to junior accounting staff.
    • Conduct training on accounting policies, procedures, and systems.
    • Foster a collaborative and supportive team environment.

    Requirements:

    • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. CPA or equivalent certification preferred.
    • Proven experience as an accountant, with at least 5 years in progressively responsible roles.
    • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
    • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
    • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively.
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Attention to detail and accuracy.
