Then you'll have success on the Digital Strategy & Platform team, whose goal is to offer guests a seamless online shopping experience across our platforms—including and the store network's fulfillment capabilities. Here, you'll collaborate to create and implement the digital strategies that enrich the online experience through the right mix of personalization, simplicity and intuitiveness. Your ideas will support Target in complementing the beloved in-store shopping interaction with a convenient, reliable and instantly gratifying digital experience.

    We are looking for a Principal Product Manager for Target in India to lead the innovation of our Search and Recommendations Platform. This role requires someone with strong technical expertise in crafting scalable and flexible platforms, integral to evolving the Search, Browse, and Recommendations experiences on and our mobile apps. You will be at the helm of defining a forward-thinking three-year roadmap, focusing on adapting our platform to meet the growing needs of our business while leveraging the potential of Generative AI.

    Your role is crucial in scaling our services to millions of guests, requiring you to identify guest and business problems, find solutions, and lead A/B testing efforts. Collaborating with Product Managers, Software Product Engineers, and Data Scientists, you will enhance the search and recommendation guest-facing features across all Target digital platforms. Additionally, you'll develop best practices for insights and KPIs, guide the team to deliver impactful results, and evaluate technology alternatives comfortable with leveraging machine learning and AI. Your strong judgment and leadership will steer our search and recommendations platforms, ensuring they stay ahead of industry trends and align with guest expectations.

    Product Teams at Target Corporation are accountable for the delivery of business outcomes enabled through technology and analytic products that are easy to use, easily maintained and highly reliable. Product teams have one shared backlog that is inclusive of all product, technology and design work.

    As a Principal Product Manager, you will work in the product model and will lead the development of a comprehensive product strategy and set key business objectives (OKRs) for your respective product domain. You will need to leverage extensive knowledge of your product, as well as, customer feedback, key data and analytics, and other relevant data points to assess value, develop business cases, and prioritize the direction and desired outcomes for your product.

    You will be the "voice of the product" to all outside stakeholders advocating for your product and ensuring their needs are met and that the product team is getting the leadership and support that it needs to be successful. You will need to cultivate strong relationships across the enterprise in order to drive collaboration and alignment with key partners and stakeholders across pyramids.

    You will develop and actively maintain a product roadmap outlining prioritization for the customer themes, technical needs, and design challenges to be delivered and you will be accountable to make final decisions on scope and prioritization relative to the product backlog. You will be accountable to create and manage product objectives and key results, key metrics for your product, as well as related P&L impacts.

    You will oversee progress against product backlogs to ensure work and priorities are in line with the product strategy while prioritizing themes, epics, and stories, to ensure work focuses on those with maximum value that are aligned with the product strategy.

    About you:

    • Four-year degree or equivalent experience
    • 10+ years of product management or equivalent domain experience in search and/or recommendations
    • Deep understanding of Search engines, indexing, NLP, deep learning, personalization, recommender systems, information retrieval, and advertising systems.
    • Technical fluency and ability to communicate guest and business benefits for various technologies; comfort communicating technology concepts, trade-offs and new opportunities with team members.
    • Proven ability to leverage data and insights to make informed product decisions including prioritization.
    • Familiarity with SOLR, Elastic, , and ML Ops will be a plus
    • Strong communication skills with proven ability to influence peers, key stakeholders and leaders
    • Expert at working in an agile environment (e.g., user stories, iterative development, scrum teams, sprints, personas)
    • Ability to plan and set a strategy, define Organizational Key Results (OKRs), communicate and drive business outcomes
