    Description

    Position Description: Accountable for strategic internal and external communications for India affiliate.

    Key Objectives/Deliverables:

  • Serve as strategic single point-of-contact for internal and external communications related to India affiliate.
  • Support the India GM and functional leadership in evolving leadership communications through managing, planning, and delivering key tactics.
  • Develop and implement an internal communications strategy that highlights Lilly's culture, DEI efforts, and organizational priorities.
  • Own the communications workstream for change management by working with affiliate and regional colleagues to develop and implement an integrated approach to protect Lilly's reputation.
  • Partner with HR and relevant functions to build and implement internal communications strategies and initiatives to build employee engagement.
  • Lead Environment Shaping and disease awareness communications in support of future launches, partnering with the broader Corporate Affairs, Marketing, and Medical teams.
  • Lead Corporate external communications and PR strategy to drive brand awareness and reputation in line with corporate objectives.
  • Lead Affiliate social media strategy and content development.
  • Manage key stakeholder engagements with media, government, and industry bodies.
  • Manage PR agencies to achieve set external communications objectives.
  • Build affiliate capabilities for corporate communications and guide leadership public speaking and media engagement.
  • Understand external and internal communications trends to continuously improve communication strategies.
  • Build network and collaboration with regional corporate communicators and share best practices and lessons learned.
  • Implement established media and compliance guidelines for all PR activities as well as identify new risk areas and potential solutions.

    • Basic Requirements:

  • At least 8-10 years' experience of working in the healthcare communications, corporate affairs and/or media environment.
  • Very good written and verbal English communications skills
  • Demonstrated experience of leading internal communications to improve engagement.
  • Demonstrated experience in developing integrated external communication campaigns.
  • Experience working in a global organization or within a matrixed structure.
  • A real team player with the ability to interact and collaborate well with people from all business teams and oversee projects from start to finish.
  • Ability to manage issues and crises and stay calm under pressure.
  • Ability to manage, motivate and coach a team of professionals without a direct reporting relationship.
  • Effective project management skills, including the ability to prioritize and make appropriate trade off decisions.
  • Good analytical skills
  • Digital communications and social media skills
  • Domestic travel required (10%)

    • Additional Preferences:

  • Experience working in the pharmaceutical/ healthcare industry.
  • Proficiency with IT tools (i.e. MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Photoshop)
