    Senior Business Analyst - P&C Insurance Domain


    Job Description :


    We are seeking an experienced Senior Business Analyst with a strong background in the Property and Casualty (P&C) insurance domain to join our team.

    The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of conducting data analysis, identifying data quality issues, and proposing effective solutions.


    They will play a key role in gathering and documenting reporting requirements and collaborating with technical teams to ensure successful project delivery.


    Key Responsibilities :

    • Perform in-depth data analysis to support business decision-making and identify areas for improvement in the P&C insurance domain.
    • Identify data quality issues and propose practical solutions to address them, ensuring data accuracy and integrity.
    • Conduct user workshops to gather and elicit reporting requirements from stakeholders across various departments.
    • Document reporting requirements in the form of Business Requirements Documents (BRDs) and Functional Design (FD) documents.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including business users, product managers, and technical teams, to ensure alignment and shared understanding of requirements.
    • Facilitate smooth handover of requirements to the technical team and provide clarifications and support throughout the development process.
    • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and regulatory requirements in the P&C insurance domain.

    Required Qualifications and Experience :

    • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field. MBA or relevant advanced degree is a plus.

    8 to 10 years of experience in business analysis, with at least 2 to 3 years of experience specific to the P&C insurance domain.


    • Strong proficiency in data analysis techniques and tools, such as SQL, Excel, and data visualization software.
    • Proven ability to identify data quality issues and propose effective solutions to resolve them.
    • Excellent facilitation and communication skills, with the ability to conduct productive user workshops and elicit requirements from diverse stakeholders.
    • Strong documentation skills, including the ability to create clear and concise BRDs and FD documents.
    • Experience in translating business requirements into technical specifications and effectively communicating them to development teams.
    • Familiarity with Agile methodologies and experience working in collaborative, cross-functional team environments.
    • In-depth knowledge of P&C insurance products, underwriting processes, claims handling, and regulatory requirements.
    • Industry-recognized certifications are highly desirable.

    • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to think critically and propose innovative solutions.
    • Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
    • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
    • Proficiency in using requirement management tools and data visualization software.
    • Experience in the development and implementation of data governance frameworks and data quality processes.
    • Familiarity with policy administration systems, claims management systems, or rating and pricing engines in the P&C insurance domain.
