Holding a leadership position involves fostering dedicated and high-impact direct, virtual, and cross-functional teams, along with spearheading the elevation of performance standards, skill development, and team empowerment. Through collaboration and alliance-building internally and externally, the leader should strive for a common vision and tangible business achievements.

    Program Manager Position Overview:

    • Develop and execute tax strategies in line with the company's overarching objectives.
    • Supervise the corporate tax department, encompassing recruitment, training, and guidance of the team.
    • Ensure punctual and precise submission of federal, state, local, and international tax documents.
    • Handle tax audits, investigations, and conflicts with tax authorities, ensuring accurate documentation and advocacy.
    • Collaborate with finance, legal, treasury, and other departments to embed tax considerations into business strategies and operations.
    • Oversee international tax compliance, covering transfer pricing, foreign income reporting, and cross-border transactions.
    • Stay abreast of international tax laws and evaluate their implications on the company's activities and structure.
    • Implement and capitalize on tax technology solutions to streamline operations, enhance accuracy, and bolster reporting capabilities.
    • Articulate complex tax matters and strategies to stakeholders, including investors, auditors, and regulatory bodies, in a lucid manner.

    Essential Skills & Qualifications:

    • Chartered Accountant certification from ICAI.
    • Minimum of 15 years of professional experience.
    • Extensive expertise in Indian Income Tax and GST regulations.
    • History of managing income tax and GST assessments in India up to tribunal level.
    • Familiarity with US, Singapore, and UK tax regimes and experience in handling tax assessments. Knowledge of multiple countries is preferred.
    • Solid comprehension of IFRS and IND AS, with the ability to interpret financial statements, particularly those of publicly listed firms.
    • Sound understanding of Court / NCLT mergers in India is advantageous.
    • Additional MBA qualifications are a plus.
    • Capability to lead a team of 7 tax professionals.
