    Description
    Brand and Category Manager Responsibilities
    • Purpose of the Role
    • Focus on each product segment from a Category-specific perspective to enhance market share gains and drive sales growth
    • Execute innovative strategies for new product launches based on market trends and competitive landscape
    • Create sales plans aligned with marketing strategies, incorporating field retail needs and vice versa
    • Develop forward-looking marketing calendars on quarterly, half-yearly, and annual basis
    • Ensure consistent and effective brand communication across all channels, including ATL & BTL marketing
    • Maintain a repository of insights and information on major categories and brands
    • Implement a design-based approach consistently across all brands, maintaining brand identity guidelines

    Responsibilities
    • Monitor consumer insights, market trends, and competitive activities within their categories
    • Conduct market research and share insights with sales function for demand forecasting
    • Collaborate with ZSMs/RSMs on key product strategies and BTL activities
    • Create high-quality content for BTL initiatives
    • Plan, implement, and evaluate marketing activities across various channels
    • Manage marketing expenses effectively, including sales and marketing schemes
    • Drive innovation in product development and planning for new product launches
    • Collaborate with supply chain and operations for the smooth functioning of their category in the market
    • Oversee brand communications and media strategy implementation
    • Lead digital marketing strategies and campaigns for brand enhancement
    • Execute annual market research plans for major categories and brands
    • Generate and analyze marketing insights across all touchpoints
    • Utilize data to create actionable insights and drive corporate initiatives
    • Ensure brand guidelines are followed consistently across touchpoints
    • Contribute to business value through design thinking and multidisciplinary projects
    Competencies Must Have
    • Experience in sales function and channel management
    • Stakeholder management skills
    • Strong business acumen and data analysis abilities
    • Digital marketing expertise, including social media management and content development
    Competencies Desirable
    • Design development exposure, including packaging
    • Market research and communications development skills
    Skills Required
    • Strategic, analytical, and operational excellence
    • Brand and product management capabilities
    • In-depth knowledge of sales and distribution systems

    Profile & Experience
    • MBA from a reputed institution with significant experience in sales and marketing
    • OR
    • Extensive experience in sales with a strong inclination towards marketing
    • Minimum of 5 years in channel development and distribution, brand or product management experience is a plus

    • Reporting To: None
    • Other Key Interfaces
    • ZSMs/RSMs, R&D, Operations, External agencies (advertising, media, digital, research, design, etc.)
