    Role: Accounts Payable and Specialist

    Experience: 5-12 yrs

    Work Days : Monday to Friday.

    Location - Andheri East

    Candidate must be willing to work all days from Office

    Job Description

    The Accounts Payable Head is responsible for overseeing the Accounts Payable team with the provision of all accounts payable services in accordance with Mastek policies and procedures. The role is operational in nature and will be responsible for supervising and processing supplier invoices whilst addressing supplier queries, performing supplier reconciliations and other ad-hoc duties including creation of adequate provisions in books & providing reports to management as required.

    Specific Duties and Responsibilities:

    • that all supplier payments are processed accurately and in accordance with agreed KPI's.
    • adequate and appropriate Accounts Payable controls are in place and report discrepancies or inefficiencies to the financial controller.
    • all vendor maintenance is processed accurately, in accordance with agreed KPI's and is appropriately authorized.
    • Accounts Payable documentation is filed and archived in a timely and accurate manner.
    • required monthly reports – i.e. aged creditors listing, average days to pay supplier, statistical reports, changes to supplier Masterfile information etc.
    • the day-to-day operations of the Accounts Payable team.
    • Mastek employees are trained in and adhere to established policies and procedures and work practices are consistent with accounting principles.
    • effective leadership and promote staff development initiatives.
    • responsibilities to direct reports as required.
    • that all telephone and e-mails queries received from suppliers and internal stakeholders are addressed in a timely manner.
    • a priority on effectively working with stakeholders from other divisions within the organisation for mutual benefit by seeking and incorporating feedback that will benefit organizational objectives.

    While the principal duties of this position are as above, the Accounts Payable Manager may be required to undertake other duties from time to time.

    Qualifications and Experience Required

    Academic


    • Diploma or Degree in Accounting or related discipline or working towards same

    Experience

    • experience in an accounts payable position and understanding of accounts payable issues
    • knowledge of standard Accounts Payable practices and procedures
    • ability to lead and manage employees to provide effective Accounts Payable services
    • interpersonal skills, including an ability to acquire information and influence others with diplomacy, tact and discretion and to engage internal and external stakeholders at all levels with respect and confidence.
