    Description

    Job Role :

    We are looking for a Senior Power BI Support Engineer to join our team.

    Ideal Candidate:

    • Proven experience (4+ years) in Power BI development and support.
    • Proven experience in providing technical support for Power BI or similar business intelligence tools.
    • Strong understanding of data modelling, ETL processes, and data visualization principles.
    • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues.
    • Familiarity with database management systems (DBMS), including Microsoft SQL Server, MySQL, or PostgreSQL.
    • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to interact effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
    • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced support environment.
    • Familiarity with Azure DataLake, Azure Datafactory, Azure Databricks.

    Responsibilities:

    • Provide extended development support to clients on ad-hoc reporting requests.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyze complex database problems and develop effective solutions.
    • Respond to support tickets and inquiries promptly, adhering to established service level agreements (SLAs).
    • Perform database performance tuning, optimization, and monitoring to ensure optimal system responsiveness.
    • Assist in database migrations, upgrades, and maintenance tasks, following best practices and minimizing downtime.
    • Implement and maintain database security measures, including access controls and data encryption.
    • Create and update documentation for support processes, troubleshooting procedures, and issue resolutions.
    • Escalate critical issues to senior support engineers or development teams, ensuring timely resolution.
    • Participate in on-call rotations for week-end support and incident management as required.
    • Collaborate with clients and stakeholders to understand their database needs, provide guidance, and offer proactive recommendations.
    • Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies to continuously improve skills and knowledge.
