    Voicegain is a rapidly growing Voice AI startup with offices in Santa Clara, Dallas and Bangalore. Voicegain's deep-learning-based Voice AI platform company enables contact centers of all sizes implement AI across the entire call flow. We have a developer-first strategy where we offer a comprehensive set of APIs that are accurate, affordable and easy-to-use.
    Using these APIs, one can easily build intelligent voice-enabled applications to automate and extract insights from business conversations. Sample applications are voice bots/assistants, Real-time Agent Assist/AI Co-Pilot and AI/Speech analytics of sales and customer service calls.

    Voicegain offers great out-of-the-box transcription accuracy that matches the big cloud providers like Google, Amazon and Microsoft that can be further improved by customizing the underlying models.

    We are looking for a hands-on Engineering Manager who can mentor and scale our rapidly growing team of SDEs.

    This role reports into the Co-founder & CTO of the company and is a great opportunity to participate at the ground-stage of a rapidly growing startup.

    What You'll Be Doing

    • Collaborating closely with teams across the globe to deliver exceptional results, with team of nine engineers (5 based in Bangalore, 2 based in Gurgaon and 1 in Hyderabad and 1 in Pune).
    • Growing the team, mentoring and helping our junior SDEs become more capable and accomplished engineers, empowering them to take ownership of the codebase and lead end-to-end projects.
    • Participating in all phases of the software lifecycle, including roadmap execution through liaison with leadership
    • Be hands-on in the design & development of key features for ~ 40-50% of the time (this is super important). This role is not a fit for someone who has not been hands on in designing & developing code for the last 2-3 years.
    • Supervising successful progression of projects in our continuous integration environment, from development to deployment.
    • Holding regular and transparent one-on-one meetings with your team members.
    • Providing caring and direct feedback to team members, helping them set and achieve specific goals to advance their careers.
    What You'll Bring to the Team
    Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science or equivalent industry experience.
    8+ years of relevant work experience, with at least 3+ years in a leadership role managing a technical team
    Experience leading SCRUM/Agile delivery teams
    Excellent communication skills in English to collaborate effectively with globally distributed teams
    Prior experience in a modern B2B SaaS/Data analytics/AI-ML company
    Strong experience with technologies mentioned below in our tech stack (see below).
    Our Tech Stack
    Our backend API codebase is written in Java 17 and SpringBoot 2.x, and Java ecosystem
    Our machine learning services and some backend services are written in Python 11. Our Voice AI models are trained on TensorFlow and the inference is mainly on NVIDIA Triton Inference Server.
    Our data is stored on Redis, S3, Mongo, Firestore, PostgreSQL and Influxdb. The version control system and the CI/CD pipeline is on GitLab. Our workloads run on Kubernetes clusters hosted on GCP. We use various GCP services.
