    Description

    Purpose of the role/Position-

    The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing and maintaining Linux-based SAP servers, Linux servers, Windows servers (Web Server, FTP/SFTP Server), as well as taking on roles related to backup administration, server hardening/security, database administration, and AWS Cloud management.

    Key responsibilities-

    • Managing Windows Server (2012/2016), LINUX/UNIX, Windows/AD/DNS/DHCP/WSUS/Windows backup. Manage Current Servers and Setup new servers as per management requirement on Linux or Windows.
    • Active Directory/LDAP user and group administration.
    • Designing and building updates to the backup and recovery environment.
    • Ensuring that all backup servers and clients receive regular patching.
    • Ensure that all data center-based servers are being backed up.
    • Monitor backups daily to ensure that all scheduled backups complete or are re-run.
    • Correcting backup failures in a timely manner. Keep accurate track of and eventual destruction of all backup media.
    • Handling SQL Server Technology (builds, upgrades, patching, migrations, troubleshooting multiple versions of SQL Server)
    • Responsible for Database management their installation, maintenance, data model design, query optimization, and monitoring.
    • Handling AWS infrastructure of (Creation of VM, Monitoring, Backup and restoration of VM, VM Optimization), AWS Cost Optimization.
    • Manage AWS cloud infrastructure, including EC2 instances, S3 storage, and related services.
    • Monitor and optimize cloud resources for cost-efficiency and performance.
    • Implement and maintain security best practices in the AWS environment.

    Desirable Total Years of work experience in relevant Industry-

    10-15 years of experience.

    Specific work experience in the domain area

    Minimum of 5 -10 Years of experience in Server Administration on AWS Cloud as well as inhouse. Good Understanding of SAP Servers, Backup and Restoration, Data base Management, Active Directory, Web Servers and FTP Servers. AWS Cloud infrastructure management.

    Academic qualification-

    B.Tech, M.Tech, MCA,

    Professional & Technical qualifications-

    Linux and Windows Servers, AWS Cloud, Data base like Oracle, SQL Server, MYSQL, Data Classification & Data Security.
