    Description

    Overview of Job Function:


    The Team Lead, Software Engineer works in a software development team with members of the development organization, QE and Tier 3 Support and is responsible for the design, development, and the implementation of server-side software systems.

    The team lead works closely with management on departmental issues, with latitude for independent judgment and decision-making within defined guidelines.


    Principal Duties and Essential Responsibilities:

    • Supervise teams within the software development function
    • Responsible for one or more product areas for Verint's Enterprise product suite
    • Develop and implement software development plans, processes, and procedures and ensures they are adhered to
    • Design, implement, and test complex software applications
    • Lead in team activities
    • Requirements gathering & analysis, and the related reviews
    • Collaborate with other departments to prioritize software development needs including design, development, and documenting and testing new and existing software
    • May serve in a scrum master role as part of the agile software development process
    • Ensure the team achieves the agreed timelines and milestones, reliability & performance, quality measures and meets the overall acceptance criteria of their responsible product areas
    • Evaluate results with stakeholders to determine if organizational objectives are being met
    • Analyze and resolve software development issues and needs in terms of the software's full life cycle
    • Perform root cause analysis

    Job Description :

    • Act as a point of contact and escalation for the team/function

    Minimum Requirements:

    • BS in Computer Science, Software Engineering or other related degree
    • 8+ years of software development experience
    • 2+ years of Team Lead experience
    • Strong Proficiency in Java serverside programming
    • Experience with designing and building faulttolerant, highlyavailable, distributed systems
    • Familiarity with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within software design and development
    • Experience in Object Oriented analysis and design
    • Strong troubleshooting & debugging capabilities in an agile software development team environment
    • Detail oriented and highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities and parallel projects
    • General understanding and proven realworld design experience with serverside fundamentals (multiprocessing, multithreading, interprocess communication, disk I/O, network I/O, memory allocation, etc.).
    • Successful completion of Verint's background screening process including, but not limited to, employment verifications, criminal search, OFAC, and SS verification

    Preferred Requirements:

    • Advanced degree preferred
    • Experience with CTI (Computer Telephony Integration) and telephony systems
    • Experience with private/public cloud platforms AWS, Azure or GCP
    • Ability to prioritize and delegate tasks across team boundaries and/or geographically dispersed teams
    • Excellent organization, time management, and project leadership skills
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
    • Adheres to strict deliverable deadlines while able to multitask
