    Job Description:
    We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Business Development Manager to join our team in Kampala, Uganda.

    As the Business Development Manager, you will play a pivotal role in driving growth and expanding our market presence within the wholesale distribution sector, specifically focusing on food, electronics, and staple goods.


    Responsibilities:

    Introduce New Brands and Products:

    Identify, evaluate, and onboard new brands and products to diversify our portfolio and meet the evolving demands of our target market.

    Expand Customer Base and

    Distribution Channels:

    Develop and execute strategic initiatives to identify and acquire new customers while also establishing and nurturing relationships with distribution partners to expand our reach.


    Modernize Sales Pipelines and Strategies:

    Assess current sales pipelines and strategies, and implement modern techniques and technologies to enhance efficiency, effectiveness, and overall performance.


    Cultivate Sales Team Culture:
    Lead by example and foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement within the existing sales team. Provide coaching, mentorship, and support to drive individual and team success.

    Market Analysis and Trend Identification:

    Stay informed about market trends, consumer preferences, competitor activities, and industry developments to capitalize on emerging opportunities and mitigate potential threats.


    Strategic Planning and Execution:

    Collaborate with senior management to develop business plans, set objectives, and establish actionable strategies to achieve sustainable growth and competitive advantage.


    Performance Monitoring and Reporting:

    Establish key performance indicators (KPIs), track progress against targets, and provide regular reports and insights to management on sales performance, market trends, and opportunities for optimization.


    Requirements:
    Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field. MBA or equivalent qualifications preferred.


    Minimum of 5 years of proven experience in business development, sales management, or related roles, preferably within the wholesale distribution industry.

    Strong understanding of sales principles, market dynamics, and distribution channels in Uganda.

    1 Year experience in the African Market is preferred.

    Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills with the ability to inspire and motivate teams towards achieving common goals.

    Demonstrated track record of driving revenue growth, expanding market share, and building strategic partnerships.

    Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM software.

    Proactive mindset with a strategic vision and a passion for innovation and continuous improvement.
