    Description

    Job Description:

    • Will be responsible for developing and implementing purchasing strategies.
    • Will handle vendor management and negotiations.
    • Compare and evaluate offers from suppliers.
    • Responsible for purchase order processing and coordination.
    • Extensive experience in procurement/purchasing roles within the building material industry.
    • Responsible for price negotiation and cost control. Track orders and ensure timely delivery.
    • Conduct regular vendor audits, address any non-compliance issues, and work with suppliers to improve their performance.
    • Prepare reports on purchases, including cost analyses.
    • Ensure compliance with relevant industry regulations, ethical standards, and company policies throughout the procurement process.

    Desired Skills:

    • Should have 2-6 years of experience in direct purchasing, raw material purchasing, preferably in the building material industry.
    • Proven work experience as a purchasing Officer, purchasing agent or similar role.
    • Should have experience in vendor development, vendor audits, purchasing strategies, price negotiation, and cost reduction.
    • Good knowledge of vendor sourcing practices (researching, evaluating, and liaising with vendors)
    • Solid analytical skills, with the ability to create financial reports and conduct cost analyses.
    • Should have experience in SAP or ERP software.
    • Good knowledge of Excel.
