We are looking for an experienced Business Development Manager with a strong background experience in freight forwarding. As a Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for identifying and pursuing new business opportunities to increase revenue, market share, and profitability.
Key Responsibilities:
Identify and qualify new business opportunities through research, networking, and prospecting.
Develop and maintain relationships with potential clients and stakeholders.
Team expansion.
Collaborate with the sales team to develop proposals and presentations that align with client's business needs and objectives.
Participate in industry events and conferences to promote the company and build relationships with potential clients.
Improve profitability.
Assist with Requests for Proposal (RFP's).
Prepare Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's) for customer instructions.
Collaborate with other departments, including operations and finance, to ensure a seamless customer experience.
Analyze market trends and competitor activities to identify business opportunities.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree. 7-10 years of experience in shipping and logistics, with a strong background in freight forwarding.
Proven track record of developing and implementing successful business development strategies and achieving sales targets.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and make informed decisions.
Strong customer focus and a commitment to providing exceptional service.
